Some of the biggest hurdles are having to interact with the police to even get a license to carry. Plus it's expensive. Plenty of people opt to just learn to shoot, borrowing from friends.

West Virginia and Montana exist. Kentucky is a former deep blue state too. I think they just have to be DINO and contrarian. Not saying it’s easy, but growing up I wouldn’t have thought deep south Georgia would elect two democratic senators.
I’m just saying it’s weird that a democratic governor almost always wins, but a democratic senator never wins. Seems like their senators are juggernauts. Maybe if they left, a democrat would stand a better chance.
