AI = Fascism
I'm in a weird spot. I'm a software dev and whether I like it or not I think LLM's have changed the industry, probably forever. Or at least until the next big shift.
LLM's can genuinely write working code and selfishly it does allow me to build POC's in my off time that I never would have before. Working in the industry saps my motivation to build at home.
On the flip side the corporations building them are evil, stealing data to train them, stealing water and forcing customers to pay for grid improvements and just bad for the environment.
It's a shitty time to be alive

What's the most unforgivable sin done in media that you're still bitter about?
They gave the star trek movie reboots to a director that didn't like or watch star trek.

I suppose I should have clarified as "daily bathing"

I stopped wearing deodorant a few years ago. Clean clothes and showering. I do get funky after being soaked in sweat for hours so maybe if I worked in a kitchen right next to people that'd be a different story

Probably you are overthinking it. Even bathing is new to humans, you don't "need" it

Just shower before you go out and wear clean clothes

Garlic in pickles turned blue-green
Sorry couldn't upload in an edit.
Excerpt from "the art of fermentation". About fermented (not necessarily pickled) garlic.
Oops, not sure how to fix the rotation

Star Trek writer confirms Doctor Who crossover very nearly happened after incredible Easter eggs
Reply in thread
Star Trek already has Q and the Traveller. There are canonical gods that defy physics already. I wouldn't hate a crossover that wasn't holodeck related.
Also we have tons of time travel and made up radiation and crossing to parallel universes

Regarding Sci-fi: Do you prefer it to lean more into the Sci element or the Fi element?
I like hard science fiction. Things seem more real and possible when they are grounded on real science.

The title is a little misleading, Google searches aren't involved, that was colour added by the author

Garlic in pickles turned blue-green
I'm pretty sure that is common in pickled garlic but do some reading on it I guess.

If you are in tech, these are worth watching. They are going to dethrone anthropic and openai.

People with pollen allergies, what do you do to deal with the symptoms?
Probably not a common solution but I stopped taking all my antihistamines. It sucked for a little bit but I'm not having allergies very much anymore.
