I avoid approaching women in public because I believe it's inappropriate. My parents say that it's a necessary skill. Who is right?

The unsatisfying answer: you're both a little bit right.

You're correct that times have changed somewhat. But I think it's overkill to say that "approaching women at all unless you have business with them is disrespectful and borderline harassment".

Of course, context matters a lot. Don't bother women at their jobs, the bank is not a lady zoo. But in a social situation where you would expect to meet other people, it's fine to strike up a conversation with strangers or even ask them out.

However, by your own admission you don't get out much. So I'm assuming you don't get a lot of situations like bars or parties where this would happen. So I would try networking in your community, develop some hobbies, go to functions where you might meet someone in this manner.

I'm not surprised. YouTube has a constant stream of new material, curated to each user's exact interests. And more back catalogue than you could watch in a thousand lifetimes. It's definitely the service I use the most.

Oops, something went wrong!

Because 99% of the time these errors are caused by something on their end that the user is unable to fix, even on the off chance that they understand the problem in the first place. So there isn't any need to give you more information than "something went wrong, please wait a minute and/or try again".

I don't envy the humans pre-dentistry

This is what gets me about the sentiment of "humans lived for hundreds of thousands of years without toothpaste/sunscreen/antibiotics/vaccines/etc and we were just fine!"

My dude, we were most definitely not fine. A lot of people died painful and preventable deaths, many of them children, and we're around today because existing that way was just good enough to keep us going as a species.

What reason do I express for changing jobs during my interview?

"Looking for a new opportunity", "want to challenge myself more", "looking for something that aligns better with my interests" etc. Those are some of the usual lines you give in corporate America when you want out.

But in your case, you could just tell the truth. That you're in a temp position and you're looking for something permanent. That's a perfectly valid reason for interviewing.
