JD Vance 'humiliated' by Iranian negotiators in stunning spectacle: 'Never looked weaker'
Reply in thread
While this regime is huge on optics, this shit has gone on for millennia. I remember reading that Obama was pissed his handlers kept telling him to wait for the repubs to call him and not for him to call them as it would show weakness or some BS. He was like idgaf we need to start negotiations! The handlers just told him that's how DC politics worked and it would affect negotiations.
It's also why trump used to jerk ppl in when he shook hands to "throw them off guard" and make him look stronger and more dominant. His dying ass doesn't do it anymore cause he can barely stand or walk anywhere for more than 10 minutes. If he tried it now, the other person would just pull him and he'd fall.

If he left, the stock would bounce up 20%. Put an engineer at the head and start producing decent model 3, Y. Work on reaching 25k MSRP. I'm sure there's bottlenecks and inefficiencies that could get them there.

"Google has been very bad": Trump warns Google may be "shut down" in rant

I'll take a stab at it.
I do these shows and everyone wants to see it. It goes viral and everyone looks it up on Google to watch on their phones. But Google is doing something to block it, so if I win I'm going to shut them down.

First responders of lemmy, do you ever find yourself hating the people you're saving when you're constantly dealing with easily-avoidable catastrophes?
There's a patient that we would see a couple of days per month. They'd OD on heroin, we hit them with narcan and an electrolyte IV to hydrate. He'd eat something and leave. We would give him resources to get some help. Each time I'd get more and more angry.
6 months of this and I finally asked why he'd OD almost like clockwork. He said the good stuff sold fast and he'd only get enough for like 2 maybe 3 hits(?highs, fixes?) The guy's life was just waiting on his dealer to get it. He would figure out how to make enough cash to keep his withdrawals at bay while saving up to buy up as much as he could when the good stuff arrived.
The last time I saw him, day shift told me he came in, got hit with narcan twice, this was after EMTs had given him narcan as well. when he was steady enough, he left AMA(against medical advice). He came back 3 hrs later for another OD. Doctor came in and told him he's killing himself. this organ is damaged, this one has this, blah, blah, blah. He responded that he'd be fine if we would stop killing his high. I did the usual and he left sometime the next day.
We haven't seen him in 4 months. I guess he finally got to enjoy his high.

Trump's broke. That's why he put Lara trump as co chair and you hear that some ppl want the RNC to pay donnie's bills even though that would mean less money for down ballot candidates. Basically means about a billion needed and it would fuck the GOP in congress. I hope they go bankrupt.

There It Is: RFK Jr. Suggests Best Strategy For Combatting Measles Is For Everyone To Get It
Also measles resets your immune system. Your immune system keeps records of all the crap it's fought, making it easier to fight next time. When you get measles, it's like you're a new born. So he's not only allowing ppl to die, he's making it easier for future illnesses to kill as well.
Two studies of unvaccinated children in an Orthodox Protestant community in the Netherlands found that measles wipes out the immune system’s memory of previous illnesses, returning it to a more baby-like state, and also leaves the body less equipped to fight off new infections.
The first paper, led by Velislava Petrova, of the Wellcome Sanger Institute and Cambridge University, says measles erodes two separate lines of defence of the immune system.
To tackle previously unseen infections, the immune system relies on constantly pumping out a diverse range of immune cells – thousands of different varieties, each with slightly different receptors on their surfaces, with a collective ability to recognise almost any pathogen.
“The more diverse range of them we have, the better,” said Petrova. However, after measles, the children had a far more restricted range.
The immune system also creates long-lived memory cells, which remain permanently in circulation, allowing the body to rapidly recognise and eliminate previously encountered infections.
However, after measles, a substantial proportion of immune memory cells had disappeared from the children’s blood, in what the scientists described as “immune amnesia”. This could even mean that children who become infected with measles may need to be revaccinated for previous diseases.
