I understand why the post you mentionned is in this community (although it's debatable), since it is the continuation of a previous post. However, I don't feel like this one should be in a community specifically about linux phones.

Sonic Mania. For a game where you're supposed to go fast, it's terribly frustrating when you slug through each level because you don't know them well enough to fly through them. I feel like this game is more about memorizing maps and less about having quick reactions.

Dead Cells is a roguelite, due to the permanent upgrades that persist accross runs. A roguelike doesn't have this type of progress. If you like Dead Cells, check out their new game, Windblown!

Recommend games for me
The single-player campaign of Titanfall 2 is incredible. Short and sweet (about 6-8 hours), super fun parkour system and cool story to play. I highly to recommend to pick it up when on sale.

There were some controversies due to the toxicity of Hpyrland's community (namely its discord server). See this post for example
Edit: I should have read OP's linked post first, which actually also refers to Drew's post.

FYI if you click on the top right arrow when playing a video, you can switch between fit/fill/zoom mode. This should address your second issue.

The AOSP is based on a modified version of the Linux kernel, so it is a Linux in that sense, but using it is quite different from using more traditional GNU/Linux distributions.
From what I take from the OSes listed in the sidebar of this community, this place is intended for linux-based phones which are not Android. There are already communities which are focused on Android/GrapheneOS/LineageOS, so it'd be fairer for this one to focus on the rest.

I sympathize with you. I killed my phone's screen while attempting to replace the battery (poured too much solvent to unglue the battery, which melted or dissolved something under the screen). It's a shame, because the battery replacement was a success, i could use it by connecting a screen. Since then, repairability is a must for me.

Netherlands blocks US takeover of vital digital supplier
Kyndryl said in a statement it was "extremely disappointed" about the decision. "The politicization of this process has overshadowed the clear and important benefits this transaction would have brought to Solvinity's customers and Dutch citizens."
(Emphasis mine)
These sorts of statements makes me want to hurl...

Music education: thoughts and experiences?
One of the absurds things I've noticed is teaching how to play instruments to people who do not listen to music regularly — and thus did not develop their musical taste yet — and do not know what to play. In my experience, learning an instrument for the sake of knowing how to play it, rather than to play music that you like is not very productive.
So, we end up with what you described: kids who know how to play the Good Stuff™ because their parents wanted to, but hate it.
