Valve hopes the Steam Machine will make devs pay more attention to Linux anti-cheat support

You can keep your kernel-level shit off my CPU.

Spend money on servers. Verify your players. I don't care how you do it, but you don't get kernel-level access to my machine because some asshole script kiddies are aimbotting. You can never trust the client. This is basic shit that game devs will make up a whole host of bullshit to try to justify. (FWIW: I spent a solid decade as a professional game dev and I was as disappointed in this horseshit then as I am now. At least players are starting to figure it out now, too.)

How do we tell him ?

I get the joke.

But if, like me, you actually feel this here's how I got away from it: make sure you actually understand things.

Read the error message over and over again, look up the words, understand what it is saying.

If something isn't working, start reading the code and making sure you understand what each line is doing.

It will feel incredibly slow and painful at first. Eventually you will strengthen those.muscles, however, and it'll become second nature.

Then you can cut and paste with confidence! 🤣

Reddit CEO Defends His Absurdly High Pay While Not Paying Mods

Unfettered capitalism.

Time to tax the corporations and the wealthy for their fair share again.

Want to solve almost all our problems? Redistribute wealth from the 1% who spend it on yachts to the rest of us to spend on healthcare, wages, etc.

Small business owner making 6 figures a year? I am not talking about you.

Spez, making 9 figures? That is who I am talking about and where the problem lies.

A golf course less than eight miles away from the hottest point on the entire planet.

You are mad and calling this dystopic but ... it's specifically been made to work in its location? Isn't this exactly what we want our environmental changes to support?

Shouldn't this be a sort of utopic example? "Look what we can do if we think carefully about interacting with our environment.'

If it's all lies or something, bring the evidence and I will be there supporting you. Otherwise, what is it you want, exactly?

Poll: More than 60% of middle class say they’re ‘struggling financially’ and are not expecting things to turn around for the rest of their lives

The moment enough of us decide this has to change, it will.

Relink productivity and wages! 90% tax rate on all the cash you earn in a year after the first $10M Close corporate tax loopholes

We can solve this, we just need to decide.

Maybe a general strike is out and we should just start a quiet friday strike, and just start extending that back through the week. Productivity just keeps falling until the wealthy decide they don't want to suffer with the rest of us and take the fucking haircut.

Yes, But

When you see this, you should be thinking "look what they fucking took from us."

Once upon a time, those lanes all ran. The CEO's megayacht is the reason you have to stand in line or check out yourself.
