I don't think that's true. I got pretty good at this as a kid and was able to hit the mark much more often than random. The trick was pressing the button a bit earlier than center.

[crosspost] Im proud with how my gameplay feels so far.
Love the blast effects. One critique is that it is really hard to see the main character with so many brighter splashes going on. Perhaps use a higher contrast pallet, or use a glowing outline? Would it be feasible to add a simple lighting to the player, so it lit up one one side with each flash of light?

How do I calculate if a test like this is statistically significant?
You could use a few different null hypotheses here. One with minimal assumptions would be that the medians are equal. This can be tested using the Mann-Whitney U test. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mann%E2%80%93Whitney_U_test

That's exactly what I was thinking. I did find a link to an existing star system online: "Israel Hands". Someone "discovered" it in 2018. https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Israel_Hands I'm still figuring out their RNG, so I don't know if this is part of their vocab or part of the curated content.

Doesn't it suck that we can't tell what is real? I mean the internet has always been full of BS... but still... I guess since I don't post often, I'm just not used to people (prudently) being skeptical of my reality.

Anyone else get their start with mechwarrior 2?

Ditto. Do you know a good game these days to get that old mech sim feeling? There are lots of mech games now, but the few I've tried are just normal shooters with clanking sounds.

Biggest Fattest Fluffiest Popovers
Thank you for this recipe! Just tried it out with one substitution - white whole-wheat instead of AP four. Not a great idea... I will have to try again sometime.

Backyard chickens and ducks: looking for coop advice!
My family got our first chickens about a year ago and decided to go with an Omlet coop. We figured the quality and time-savings for cleaning were more important than the high cost for us, especially since it was our first flock. I couldn't be more happy with the decision. Set-up took several hours, but the build quality is outstanding. Cleaning also takes less than ten minutes. And somehow the birds figured out the nesting box and automatic door features with very little help from us.
Now if only I can teach the birds to not poop all over my welcome mat, the world would be a much better place...

I mean, would they even notice if I sent an email? Seem like it's either a very rare artifact they wouldn't bother fixing, or they did it on purpose (and wouldn't bother fixing).

Just three, though I would be happy with about five in there. We have the small run.

What mods do you recommend? Would it be lacking if I went with the Xbox version?

What are the best/highest quality Video Games ever made?

Yes, finally. No one I know has played it, and there seems to be little interest in trying. The game consists of perfect mind-bending puzzles, with no duplicate "tricks" - just a steady growth of what is considered outside-the-box thinking.

Just completed this one myself - and yeah, amazing. I am sooo happy I went in not knowing anything. Figuring out what needs figuring out is half the fun.

I both love this game and hate that I could never beat the final boss. Even after defeating the "harder" optional stuff. My Dark Souls training is punished hard by the combat system. (I love to hate it though - just so satisfying.)

Replacement for Microsoft Sculpt Ergo?

Wow, that's a great help! I love the look of the K860 - it's like a sculpt clone. I would buy one right away, but now you've gotten me interested in checking out all these others.... Is there somewhere I can try this stuff out?
