Like clockwork. Any judge that puts an obstacle in the fascists way is a "radical" judge. Because protecting our right to vote is clearly unreasonable /s

I'm no expert, but that sounds like a weapon that would violate some international treaties.....like the Geneva convention

Right so because they aren't obvious in a crowd it's better to murder the whole crowd? Are kids Hamas? Cuz there's a whole lot of murdered kids on Israel's hands.
Sound logic my guy

$1,000 car loan payments are on the rise, stressing household budgets
Reply in thread
How long would it take to save up at least 5k for a cheap used car making minimum wage and paying for living expenses? It's impossible for many Americans without going into debt.
The system is absolutely broken. But sure go and blame the individual for not pulling themselves up by their bootstraps

Salt Lake City declines to charge anti-child-trafficking activist with sexual assault
I'm 34 and since I've been voting in SLC we haven't had a good DA. Mostly corruption has plagued the office, but it's great to see they also protect abusers too 🫠

Washington DC Trams will be "phased out"
They cite double parking as one of the reasons to switch to buses. Why not just make fines for parking in a position that blocks public transit scale to a person's wealth? I'd imagine that'd change the tune of these idiots real quick if the city took a percentage of your annual income instead of some low $ fine that rich people consider the cost of parking anywhere.

Tire Pollution May Threaten Human Health, Study Finds
More and more of these studies are done with no measurable change in policy. Then I keep hearing all the "good news" about electric cars picking up more market share globally. Why the hell can't we have more busses and trains instead?
When money drives policy in the U.S. we're never going to put people's health/safety first

House Flipper 2 - Out Now!
Reply in thread
Have you played the games? The vast majority of it is just home decorating. It's more of a house cleaning/ decorating sim than anything else.
It also doesn't glorify selling houses. It idolizes giving someone the best home for their lifestyle.
I hate landlords and corporations owning single-family homes, but house flipper isn't either of those things.

I remember being 10 when 9/11 happened. While the events themselves were awful the 24 hour news cycle for like 2-3 months afterward was even worse.
News organizations sensationalized even tiny shit to capture more viewership. Then all the policy changes from the govt ruined the nation's bit of prosperity for any non-millionaire (or beyond).
I felt like I lost my childhood innocence after seeing how we reacted as a nation and decided to bomb a country because of the actions of one group. Fuck anyone involved in those decisions.

Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban?
It's a theocracy here. I'm sure "god" will tell our law makers to keep oppressing trans youths instead of doing anything of benefit for Utahns.

Fearing social media backlash, companies are using all kinds of euphemisms to avoid being straightforward about layoffs — ‘right-sized’, ‘org changes’, ‘simplified operating model’

Bruh my company did this months before layoffs. They even sent out origami paper with instructions to make butterflies. What a crock of shit.
