What I do have a problem with is people who do this:

What are examples of anachronisms you've seen from movies depicting historical settings?
I saw a play about ancient Rome by an up and coming British playwright and one if the scenes had a clock in it.

Five star rating system was dumb because almost every rating was 1 or 5 stars. It was right to replace with a thumbs up/thumbs down system.
They stopped showing the number of thumbs down. They did not take away the thumbs down button.

We learned during Covid that at least half of the country would kill not some stranger, but their neighbors and friends, and not for ten grand, but to avoid the mild discomfort of wearing a mask and social distancing

Oh no
I went to Paris once, and despite everything I had heard my whole life, if you start off with a Bonjour and end with a Merci, in between, the locals are almost all perfectly happy to speak English with you.
I’m sure I say these things with a thick American accent so they all know not to continue too much further in French.

75% More Pedestrians Have Been Killed Since 2009. Giant Trucks and SUVs Are Why

I have a large family and we drive a Transit 350 van.
One day we needed to move a pair of beds and mattresses. We asked my father in law to help us since he has a F150. But it soon became apparent how much more we could fit in the van (with the two back seats removed) than we could fit in the truck, which couldn’t even fit one mattress in the truckbed without hanging out the back of the tailgate.
From what I’ve seen my van is far superior to a truck in almost every need I’ve had. It can carry more stuff and it can do so in the rain keeping the cargo dry.
The one thing a truck could do that my van can’t is pick up a scoop of mulch or gravel dumped from a loader.

Babies Are Bleeding to Death as Parents Reject a Vitamin Shot Given at Birth
I have four natural born kids and all of them had their Vitamin K shots, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I trust my doctors’ recommendations on what course of action is best, knowing that there are risks and benefits to any medical treatment, and we do these treatments because the benefits outweigh the risks.
With that said, the article doesn’t mention that the risk of the vitamin K shot is that the newborn’s bilirubin levels can be raised far enough that they have to be treated for it. One of my daughters had to be blindfolded and put under a very bright blue light for several hours or maybe it was overnight, which is not a nice thing to see your newborn go through.
But it is surely better than seeing them bleed to death.

Social Securiry benefits are paid out based in how much you earned during your working years. If you earned more money while working, you get higher monthly benefits when you retire. Up to a certian point:
These benefits cap out at a certain limit. Accordingly, the social security taxes also cap out at a certain limit. Beyond that income you do ‘t get any higher Social Security benefits and you don’t pay any higher Social Security taxes.
This is because Social Security is not designed to be a progressive tax like the income tax is.
Our tax system overall should be more progressive. Maybe social security should be part of that. But it was never designed to do this.

Facebook is absolutely cooked
I deleted Facebook maybe two years ago. One of the last things I saw was a very obviously AI generated image of six or seven soldiers that had lost the same leg and all had it replaced with a prosthetic at exactly the same point, with some caption about “let’s get some likes for our wounded warriors!” Followed by dozens of comments in support, I assume all were bots.

Facebook originally had no feed, you had to go look at individual profiles to see what people had going on.
And the day they introduced the news feed, it was a surprise. And one guy I remember was NOT expecting that quietly removing a girl from his “in a relationship with” status would turn into a news feed item broadcast to all their friends “X IS NO LONGER IN A RELATIONSHIP WOTH Y”

NO SAFE PPE EXISTS rule
I talked to a guy once who said he had shorted out 480v to a copper busbar. This vaporizes a bit of the copper, which then condenses in your skin, which is very painful. He also said he had the taste of metal in his mouth for the next entire year.

What is your policy on letting a child use the internet?
You sit at a desktop in the kitchen to use the computer. If you have shown yourself to be responsible you know your password.
The wifi shuts off at bedtime.
My 11-12-13 year old kids have Apple Watches for communication purposes but no smartphones. These are charged all together in a locked pantry at night.
