Big Penny!

The bridge is on S Pennsylvania Ave in Lansing, MI, hence "Penny". Construction has routed more people through there than normal lately increasing the bridge's hunger.

If there's one thing people that rent trucks or RVs never learn, it's the height of their vehicle (and that yes the flashing overheight lights are in fact for you).

Source: Used to live near there.

Please.

Good Album. Boom! is still sadly as applicable today.

The name being their response to early versions of the tracks leaking in Napster is great. Not "you're taking our money" but "wait till we finish the songs, THEN steal it".

The disc itself looks just like a blank CD-R with a sharpie label, but there's also "hand drawn" alternate versions from each of the members.

Studies generally show the economy does better under Democrats than Republicans, in measurements of CPI, GDP, job growth, and unemployment. Republicans however have a massive propaganda machine that has gaslit the country in believing the opposite. Frequently this is backed by short term plays that make things "feel" better but cause significant long term problems. Like a CEO firing the QA team, line goes up this quarter and by the time the consequences arrive they're gone and blame the next guy.

Amazing New Facebook AI Feature

Doordash is abusing AI similarly by adding product descriptions generated by AI if there isn't one. It includes things like ingredient lists, cooking styles, and quantitative descriptions that can all be entirely wrong. Gonna be fun when relying on the AI description causes an allergic reaction and serious injury or death.

The Mozilla Graveyard

Seeing "the source is available here on GitHub", "the project was forked and is now maintained as (other name)", etc. after most of these really helps show the difference with Google. Well that and the length of the article, Google has far more deaths under their belt.

The US Attacked my country...

Trump is a criminal, both domestically and internationally, with a fascist regime that had already attempted an overthrow of a lawful election. He's also deeply unpopular with a majority of the country.

So by their logic, if Xi swooped in and yanked him off a golf course back to Beijing to stand trial, that would be 100% fine.

AI. Consumers get the leftovers that can't be binned high enough to be H100s that they can sell for 30k a piece to companies doing AI work. The 50 series uses the same node as the 40 series, so they stopped production on the 40s to allocate time to the new chips. Of course this has the nice effect of stopping cannibalization of sales when it turns out the 5080 is basically a 4080 super and would be binned as a x070 or x060 Ti part in prior gens.

Either way it looks like they only started working on them early January based on some investigation so far (https://youtu.be/wMd2WHKnceI) so there's likely only a couple thousand 5090s even in existence.

TLD is just another DNS layer, try an SOA or NS lookup for "com." those are obviously hosted somewhere. Hell the "." at the end is even another layer with the root nameservers. You'd probably trip up a bunch of systems that filter on common convention rather than the actual RFC, but you could do it.
