Never heard of them but I’m enjoying it. Definitely a tappy band, this album is from 2011 and shows up on the Bandcamp charts for “math rock” right now. Good stuff.

This is part of their crowdfund campaign for the new season of their full cast audio drama, trying to get new listeners. First 3 seasons were produced by the BBC, and they’re universally great. But they’re off on their own this time. The sound design across the seasons has been fantastic, the writing great, and the performances stellar.

That owl has seen days.

Feels upbeat, mostly instrumental, shoegaze-y. Definitely fits here.

Lovely track. Some quiet bits but mostly energetic, a bit of a high-tech feel personally. Maybe some post-metal in here too. FFO Civil Service mebbe?

Reminds me a bit of Elder too. Kerrang gave it a great review as well and it was funny seeing them mention Elder also. Dropped today.

There’s definitely some Forest of Polarities vibes in here, especially in “A Single Hat Loss”). Mix of math and post. Well worth the listen.

Interesting stuff, and their follow up album leans even more into the folk. Most of this album is acoustic with Black Metal interludes/outbursts. Some vocals, all clean, I believe.
