Google execs admit users are ‘not quite happy’ with search experience after Reddit blackouts

Whats bothering me the most about it is that Reddit is still a valuable source of information for so many things, can't get around a boss fight in a certain older videogame? Yep, there are about 10 threads about it on reddit from years ago.

The amount information on there is big enough that often times many of the top useful search results are in reddit, I hope Lemmy can fill the gap, at least partially but I'm aware that it could years and that's only if the fediverse picks up well enough.

Andrew Tate charged with rape and human trafficking

It frustrates me how many people, even ones close to mine are obsessed with this turd. It's gotten worse since he apparently converted to Islam, now he's the pious and innocent man and his critics are the hypocrites or whatever.

He was alienated so he capitalized on young, lonely muslim men and many fell for it, sickening.

Why many texting apps still don't let you choose specific parts to copy from a message?

Reply in thread

Couldn't you copy them into a reply, then delete the bits you don't want to keep? I'm possibly misunderstanding though.

That's one way of doing it.

Pro-tip on Android at least - if you open your Recents, you can manually select text that was on your screen even if it wasn't selectable at full screen.

Is that an option on OneUi as well? I haven't been able to figure it out.
