23andMe’s entire board resigned on the same day. Founder Anne Wojcicki still thinks the startup is savable
The company was founded almost 20 years ago. At what point is it no longer a startup?

Hey, speaking as a construction worker, get fucked. OSHA keeps people like me alive. Just get fucked. I cannot express this passionately enough.

Fascist paramilitary invaders hops Texas family’s fence and attacks them, guns drawn, without a warrant
It sure is fun seeing our tax dollars pay 30 racist shitstains to go terrorize one man in his home.

It's coming. They're officallt trying to "declare war" on American cities. There is going to be violent backlash, and unfortunately that's exactly what they want.

Texas deputies shoot woman mistaken for intruder, bodycam video shows
https://youtu.be/eAz9_iApfRI?t=1m50s
I'm just going to leave a time-stamped link to the unedited video because there are a couple apologists in here that are absolutely ridiculous.
The officers identify themselves exactly once at 2:07, a car alarm starts going off at 2:18 and noticeably startles the officer wearing the cam, at 2:23 one of the officers says "someone's coming", and at 2:26 the syllable "Dro-" is interrupted by both officers completely unloading their magazines into the door/window.
It actually doesn't even look like the door was open and maybe the victim was trying to peek out the window?
So how exactly should she have handled this situation to have avoided someone trying to randomly murder her in her own home?

Such terrible people
How do we put an end to this ridiculous "unalive" trend? It's oppressive and childish.

James Talarico wins Democratic primary for US Senate in Texas
Reply in thread
I also like Crockett, but to be fair I haven't seen much about Talerico I don't like beyond his Christianity. To be fair in that regard he at least talks the talk of a genuine Christian, rather than the hate mongering bigotry you normally see.

What kind of sick piece of shit has the capability to stab a 6 year old once much less 26 times?

LinkedIn’s cofounder Reid Hoffman says seeking work-life balance is a red flag that you’re ‘not committed to winning’
Reply in thread
Not that I want to encourage this kind of life but with that context he is kinda right. Entrepreneurship is one of those areas where you genuinely get out what you put in. If you want your business to be better, you have to commit the time to it.

home remedy
It's about blood flow. Your nose is not only filled with mucus, it's also inflamed. Prioritizing blood flow to other parts of your body will temporarily alleviate that swelling, allowing you to breath again. Light exercise works just as well.

It's also referred to as the morning after pill. IIRC Plan-B was a brand name.

Daemon calls kill -9 on children
Back in the early 2000s (when Apple Minis were introduced) there was a rare system error that you could get that ended in a wall of script/code. What has stuck with me to this day was the screen ended on the line "panic: we are hanging here".
Never did puzzle that out.

Baldur's Gate 3 colossal new patch adds a playable epilogue set six months after the game ends with 3,589 new lines of dialogue, 2 new difficulty modes, and I'm running out of headline space
The performance improvements alone are insane. I'm playing on PS5, just got into act 3. I turned it off on Tuesday a little frustrated by how the game was running inside of the lower city. Turned it back on after patching and everything is smoother than the entire rest of the game has been for me.
Also, being able to access all party member inventories is a game changer.

Neither version says its OK to just murder someone,
That's the issue though and why this is important. The right is using this specific talking point to attempt to justify her murder. This shuts down that narrative immediately and forces people to wrestle with their own lack of humanity.

It's purposefully hyperbolic to illustrate a point. You think that Finland is seriously making all ice cream free?
I would not be the least bit surprised if all the Abbotts and Thomases and Trumps and Desantises (Desanti?) announced tomorrow that they would no longer be supporting the ADA's immoral drain on commercial profits governmental budgets.
And before someone points it out, gutting a system that he has personally benefited from to fuck over Texans is exactly the kind of thing Abbott would do.
