If we had a normal world, we'd be having a National day of mourning here in the US.

She was a recording artist and a popular one at that. Unlike most of the rich people who exist, she really DID earn that herself. You can SRTFU.

This crazy assassin character, who doesn't know what shampoo is, somehow would bother shaving her armpits
I think I figured out the mentality. It's Barbie dolls. They all still subconsciously want to look like a barbie doll. and this is some DEEP subconscious conditioning too. (Exception for folks with alopecia, of course)

What's something that Reddit has, that you wished Lemmy had too
Users. While niche communities are good, the real numbers need to come for the regulars at r/movies, /r/politics, r/news, and r/funny. If you can get an entire fandom to quit and switch to lemmy that would be an absolute death knell for Reddit.

No one hates a particular religious group quite like the people whose own religion is 99.9% identical to theirs (e.g. Catholic vs. Protestant)
TBF, the structural differences if the protestant faith and the catholic faith were viable at the start. The catholics had a reformation and because they actually looked at the protestant doctrines and were like "yeah, ya'know, fair" to a lot of them. Meanwhile, Protestantism got popular with the the elites because they misinterpreted Martin Luther's philosophy to basically say that just paying lip service to God can still get you into heaven and so they could save a bundle on tithes and treat faith a performance art. Which is how you got assholes like the Calvinists.
In case you were thinking I was feeding into the thesis of the thread, neither of them are wholly correct, which is true of most religions, but if you look at the them purely objectively, Catholicism is "more correct" than Protestantism, as Catholics at least expect their practitioners to perform "good works" in their communities as a requirement rather than a strong suggestion.

Kennedy Center Board Votes to Carve Trump’s Name Into the Building’s Marble Facade
The next President should expunge trump from all associations with the presidency. All of his appointments should be recalled and everything he's done should be rolled back. That includes the SCOTUS (especially the SCOTUS) and all thier subsequent "decisions." A line must be drawn to inform the next demigouge that their fuckery will NOT be tolerated.

And how am I supposed to eat this soup with no spoon?
Krammer: "hey whatchu guys talkin about"
George: "Some guy offered me some pills"
Krammer, suspiciously interested: "What, like some drugs? That's a bad scene George!"
Jerry: "Not to worry Krammer, George turned him down."
George: "No water. Can't take pills with no water!"
Krammer: "Kind of weak reason to turn down pills, but good on you! I made that mistake once- (dramatically) NEVER AGAIN."
Jerry: "Why am I not surprised?"
Krammer: "Guy claimed he was some new age Indian Yogi, had the robes, whole bit! I was out for three days, and when I came too, I was on a fishing boat 30 miles off of Nantucket!"
George: "You never told us you were a longshoreman."
Krammer: "I wasn't. They pulled me in with the catch. Apparently I thought I was a tuna!"
[edit] (Mixed up who was being offered the pills, doesn't change the scene though.)
