Profit over people is a failed system

I want everyone to realize that they won’t do it just for a dollar, they will do it for as little as a penny. Yes, that’s right, if you die they won’t care because they got a penny and hundreds of thousands more people lived who will keep buying their shit.

This only ends when we fight back.

When The Meme Becomes Real

I mean, the pointy bit is away and last I checked it does not matter which way is up if she wanted to stab you as long as the pointy bit faces away. But hey, it’s been a while since I was stabbed and she looks like she got the stabby face. I Might not remember correctly.

20 years ago things weren’t so shit

Yeah, 20 years ago they weren’t a self paid tracker that reported my every action on the web - tracking was minimal and limited. But now maybe not a forest as much as just limiting what tech I have in my house - for instance last week I bought an analaog scale to replace my 15 year old smart one from Withings that has been without WiFi for years.

I also limit how much time I have my phone on my person, or total screen time.

Because they don’t sell underwear where you travel to? N+1 is the right answer.

And people wonder why we Americans are so weird when we bring our huge suitcases, packed full of clothes will probably never wear…

The life cycle of Dad's clothes

Reply in thread

Reading this thread has taught me that when I have a girl over and she tells me that I am not a normal male, I really had no idea how much I didn’t do as a male that other men do all the time….

I wear all of my clothes until they show clear signs of being worn out and then determine whether that it should be donated or trashed. And i have one shirt then I’ll probably never throw away and it’s one that I’ve had since the 80s, my goonies shirt.

I don’t plan on buying it. I just know I can if there is an emergency. And I take showers as needed, but at least once a day - what a silly accusation to jump to.

But hey, you do you.

He took it literally

Don’t talk to the cops. Say you want a lawyer and will remain silent. They are not your friend. They have zero interest in “your side” of the story and only wish to gather info to arrest you. Once you’re arrested you are someone else’s problem and they don’t care.

In case you didn’t see it. DONT’T TALK TO COPS.

How much is that remote job worth to you? Americans will part with pay to work from home

No we won’t and this nonsense article tries to set a very bad precedent. I was dealing with this just yesterday, new job offer comes my way last month with 2 salary choices. Come in the office for 20% more pay, work from home for less. I’m already making the higher amount with my current job, working from home. So I pass, They counter and offer other perks, I pass. This goes on for 9 days now. Yesterday, I just told them to stop, I have zero interest in working with a company that tries every way to hire me except for what I ask for.

I might add that the financials of the company were north of a billion. Get paid for what you’re worth, not where you work.

there is Indeed a problem

Well, problem 1 is using indeed. What an obsolete site for most places. But i get the joke.

Not that prospects are much better elsewhere. Like LinkedIn for instance with their “click here for instant apply” and then you see that you’re one of 50 people (today) to apply for this open role and some AI in the background estimated based on your profile that you have 22% chance of getting the job BUT if you pay for premium you can knock that 22% up to 50% and an AI writes you a better profile…

I really do feel sorry for the crap the boomer gen and even my generation (genx) has left every generation after.
