ProtonMail Logged IP Address of French Activist; Should You Be Worried About Your Privacy?

Apart from it's an old story, discussed already back and forth, Proton's claims regarding privacy are really weak. Especially when it comes to presenting Switzerlamd as a privacy safehaven. Switzerland is a tax evasion savehaven, not a privacy safehaven, Proton. How Proton puts it: we provide world class privacy (but have to break our claims and comply with Swiss law immediately once there is a legitimate or not request from law enforcement, oepsie sorreyy!)

Proton is dead (for me). Let's collect and discuss alternatives! ✊🛡

They have doubled down officially with their official Mastodon account https://mastodon.social/@protonprivacy/113833073219145503 I therefore consider this official opinion of Proton. Focussing on one aspect and completely ignoring the bigger picture of a luming fascist period in the most militarized economy of the world is just inacceptable. Proton just could have kept their mouth shut, but they decided not to.

Dutch Radboud University selects Fairphone as standard smartphone for employees

Crazy decision. The quality of FP and their customer service are abyssimal. I know because I used all of them from FP1 to FP4. After them just sending brandnew but broken FP5 phones twice to me. Looked into FP user forum. Learned 100+ other users experienced the same issue, yet no reaction from FP. Had to fight hard to get my money back. I am out. Good luck Radboud University, godspeed.
