Ugh, here we go again, gotta get ready for a bunch of bullshit
It makes so much more sense once you realize FAQ is pronounced Fuh-Queue.

Seeing heavier than average activity all of a sudden from “http://rum-ingest.usO.signalfx.com”, figured out it’s only my moms iPhone
If I had to bet, it was probably bundled in with some app she downloaded. There are so many shady games and utility apps that install their own spyware into the phone. It might not even be anything that she uses all that often. Once it's in there, it just does it's own thing in the background.
I'd go through the app list in the settings menu and close and delete any downloaded apps she doesn't use or recognize.

Explaining Balatro to non-gamers can very easily make it sound like you have an issue with gambling
Have y'all tried Black Jacket?
It's kind of like Balatro with Blackjack, but it's also an allegory for gambling addictions and the devastation it causes to others.
I've been having fun with it recently.

A fine dining restaurant served a quadriplegic woman a desert that read "happy birthday wheelchair"
I saw a video on this yesterday.
Yes, it's shitty and I'd be mortified if I was involved in this in any way, but I think it was a very unfortunate misunderstanding.
I think the other comment is on the right track. The most likely scenario is that the server typed in a note as to who the dessert was for, the plate decorator took it as what to write on the plate, and the expo just ran the food out to the table without knowing anything about what's going on.
Common sense should probably make you question if Wheelchair should really be on the plate like that, but maybe it isn't uncommon for people to request light hearted jokes on these kinds of things. I know I could get away with doing something like that for one of my friends and it being appreciated as a good natured joke, but those are people I know well, not complete strangers.
The restaurant has since acknowledged and apologized for the mistake.

These Children’s Deaths Were Preventable. Their Parents Prayed Instead of Seeking Medical Care.
If there's one thing we can learn from this, it's that God really hates people who believe in faith healing.

Maybe the best way to learn to speak a new language…
It might help, but it also puts you at a very high risk of being perceived as racist.

That's easy, I'll just look up incongruent.
incongruent: not congruent. 🤦🏻♂️

I actually enjoyed the beginning of the movie, but halfway through that stupid barrels down the river scene, I was over it.

Dropping in food and burning the whole thing down are pretty powerful, but not ALL powerful. These are things that any of us could do for/to each other.
Also, none of us really know what's happening in that ant farm. God supposedly knows all of our names and relationships to others and sees every single thing we do on a very granular level.
If your claim is that God is just an entity looking down at us and blindly fucking around with the environment, that may be possible, but there's no more reason to worship that being than the weather itself.

What it something a parent did that damaged your relationship with them forever with no recovery.
My mom told me that she heard my soon-to-be-wife say some really horrible things about her and my kids behind my back.
Whatever she thought that would accomplish didn't work, because I had already told my wife to start recording her interactions with my mom. (Clearly not my first rodeo)
Mom wasn't real happy when I told her I'd listen to the audio.

I forgot that they made multiple The Hobbit films.
After watching the first one, I mentally erased their existence.

Definitely a fair question.
We all lived in the same house at the time, and Mom's name was on the deed, so up until that point we were walking on eggshells to keep things civil until other arrangements were in place.

I still don't know what Mom's problem was with her, not that I even care. Before that point, they would each text me "You won't believe what she said to me!". I was stick on the middle trying to figure out what really happened, but something my mom said didn't match with a major detail that she didn't know about my wife's past, so I had a feeling she was the one causing the shenanigans. That's when I suggested the recordings.

Disappointing others.
