I had the same issue, but I just added my plain iptables rules to the DOCKER-USER table, which worked fine

You could hire twelve senior engineers in Europe for that kinda money

It gets even worse when a number of anime aren't even licensed for your country so you can only stream them via VPN. Looking at you Crunchyroll

[PCGAMESN] Forget Civilization 7, I want a new Spore game already
That's a rather rose-colored view of the game. One thing is certainly true about Spore: It's absolutely unique in its genre and we haven't really seen the like since.
But it certainly had its flaws when it came out. The main one being that the further into the game you got, the more lackluster it felt. With the space exploration endgame feeling rather empty and basically the same every playthrough, with how you developed your creature having very little impact.
There was also the whole DRM controversy which everyone complained about. The game had to be activated via EAs online servers and you could only activate it five times total. And changing your PCs hardware was seen as a new PC which needed a new activation

BYD is coming for Europe—but high labor costs, connectivity issues, and stubbornly loyal customers might trip up the Warren Buffett-backed EV maker that’s leaving competitors in a ‘state of shock’
Honestly, if they shake up the market and force the European manufacturers to produce cheaper EVs I'm all for it

Of course games are supposed to feel empty and lifeless upon release. They didn't have any DLC yet to fill them with content! /s

What's your secret ingredient?
Straight up MSG. If you taste a savory dish and something's missing it's most likely umami. And a pinch of that stuff will add it without any other flavors. Sure, you can also use mushroom powder, nutritional yeast, bouillon cubes or fish sauce, but all those introduce additional flavor notes that I might not want in my dish.

Engineered stone will be banned in Australia in world-first decision
Reply in thread
Silicosis can come from a wide variety of sources, basically anything where stone dust occurs can produce it, even natural stone countertop manufacturing has long been known to be dangerous in that regard.
This whole ban feels more like populism than addressing the real problems. Engineered stone has become a popular material, lots of people have worked with it with insufficient safety precautions and now there's a number of people permanently disabled by it.
Simply banning engineered stone won't solve that problem, since it will now just happen with other materials.

Vaping likely to cause lung and oral cancer, Australian researchers find in new review of evidence
Hmm, the link to the study in the article doesn't work, so I can't read it (or check who paid for it), but it sounds like it only says that there's a chance it might cause lung cancer, it doesn't say the rate. Also:
“We’ve always assumed that vapes are safer than cigarettes, but you know, what we’re showing is that they might not be safe after all. We have no conclusive way in which to get people off the vapes.
“So in smoking, we’ve got ways in nicotine gum, various drugs that we can give people to stop them from smoking. The evidence regarding people stopping vaping is very inconclusive.”
But nicotine gums and the like also work for vaping, it's still nicotine in the end
