What's something you used to do/see/say but don't anymore because you don't feel it's right?

I watched a few Jordan Peterson videos out of curiosity, and I will also watch some Joe Rogan clips as well for the same reason. For a while, I was bombarded by alt right YouTube videos. It's so crazy to think just a few clicks can lead you down that path. I was older when I watched so it, so I could obviously discern their real message, but if I was a younger man it would be harder. The algorithm almost seemed to slowly introduce more and more extreme views.

I could do with less of these "once in a lifetime events", please.

I am not religious, but I like the substance of this quote by C.S. Lewis: "If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things —praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (any microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds."

There are always wars, rumours of wars, plagues, natural disasters, but the work remains the same as it has been for much of human history.

I think it's more about attachment. We suffer because we get attached to feelings, desire, etc. When we should realize, those, along with most things, are ephemeral, or "not real". I don't think it is that Buddhist can't have desire or are indifferent, but that they strive for lack of attachment. That's probably a gross oversimplification and, like most religions, there are many different sects.

A quarter of US shoppers have dumped favorite stores over political stances

We cancelled Amazon Prime, and I won't buy on their platform anymore. I bought something off Ebay, and sure enough it came from Amazon anyway. I guess they either dropped shipped or they fulfill their orders. I've bought a few things straight from the company and the price was the same. Shipping took a little longer, but I'll gladly wait if means not supporting these companies that grovel to dictators.

You don't want to be impolite

I was really into them when I was younger, and I still enjoy music from their first few albums. They are way more pop-oriented now though. Chris Martin is very corny, but is actually a pretty talented and creative pop musician. I don't get the comparisons to Nickelback. I like them when I just want something low key, and easy to listen to. I also listen to a bunch of other "real" music as well, but for me it's not an either or thing, but just depends on mood.

I'm sorry but this can't be correct. I live within 30 minutes of two minor cities with plenty to do and me and my wife combined make around 100k. We live comfortably and have 50k in the bank in addition to retirement. We also have one kid. This is highly dependent on where you live. I am not saying the cost of housing, etc is not a problem but some of these numbers need to be put in context.
