Reddit is a Dying Mall
This is two months old and a report about the exodus that's already happened.
Reddit didn't die, it probably won't anytime soon.

Calm down MacOS hasn't done shit to make it better. They decide what you do and don't get, daddy apple already made the decision and you have to deal with it.
"We did the thinking for you, and you'll like it." Might as well be their slogan.

Aren't these the same guys that have a stick up their ass about AMD and/or they get paid by Intel to be biased?

More people died by the spear than the sword, and if you don't like my opinion, I'll shove it up your ass with sharp stick!
It was only folded so many times because the ore on Honshu is pretty low grade and had to have the carbon worked out of it more than European steel.

Actual real political cartoon. Just... wtf
I think the point of the cartoon is that some people genuinely are like this. They can't see the human in front of them without classifying them politically and deciding based on those metrics whether they're a good person or not. It's just "you're a liberal, and therefore I don't have to care about you."
Then they'll turn around and pretend to be a Christian or whatever.

Was I the only one that didn't like having personal chats in the same place as servers?
This seems like a huge UI improvement tbh, and I've been using Discord for years on mobile and desktop.

Apple Vision Pro review: magic, until it’s not
Pro: Video passthrough is a leap forward, hand and eye tracking are awesome.
Con: video passthrough is fuzzy, hand and eye tracking are kinda shit.

None of these websites are dead, and youtube isn't going anywhere. You can't just host Zetabytes of video data on a home server.

“AI took my job, literally”—Gizmodo fires Spanish staff amid switch to AI translator
This whole thing is just stupid.
Did we get angry when computers cut accounting staff by 75% because one person and QuickBooks can do the job of a whole fleet of people? No. AI will change jobs in the same way computerization changed jobs. The same way the combine changed farming and the cotton gin changed textiles.
What we need to ACTUALLY BE WORRIED ABOUT is what we failed to be concerned with last time. The productivity increase and job elimination just went to the fucking top of the ladder. If that happens again we will have massive unemployment.
We need to tax the shit out of companies using AI to replace humans, and start setting up the infrastructure for the inevitable UBI that further automation will require.

This is chaotic neutral?
Your expectations of people understanding falconry in general and the gear that falconers use is far higher than I'd give the average person credit for tbh.

"Don't you mean 'pass the savings onto us?'"
:D "Nope!"

I fully understand
It has nothing to do with social fear, every fucking call on my personal and work phone is a scam.
Get that shit under control and then maybe I'll answer my cell phone once in awhile lol
Though if I was really lost I think I'd be answering every call tbh.

Looking at you, Google and Unity.
The short term benefits are the reason they're doing this in the first place.
Immediate revenue and growth is the goal, long term business viability and consumer base is an acceptable sacrifice to meet that goal.
Who cares if the company went under five months after I left! When I was the CEO we had record profits

If you can spring for it buy some high protein beans or lentils or some other legume and mix them, almost every society on the planet no matter the geography invented rice and beans because it's so damn easy to store for long periods of time and will get you the protein and calories you need to survive.
Is it fun? No. But it will get you fed and it's an excellent base to throw in other things to spice it up. Get a little extra money and can afford a bit of meat and veggies? Sauteed them up and you get a full blown meal with a side dish and a porkchop/fish filet/chicken breast with your rice.

Considering how much time Apple users spend bitching about green text bubbles and "shitty android photos" it would meaningfully impact their experience when talking to anyone that's not on iPhone.

I wish there were more articles about tech not tech biz
Not to mention most of the commenters just hate on the technology too, every article about any type of transportation that isn't trains people just shit on it in the comments. "How is this gonna save the planet?" "Why does this need to exist?"
Hating technology should be its own community.
