Not offended, I know well enough that people most often than not don't mean to offend, they are just having fun.

I liked this place because it focused on silly puns. The world needs more silliness.

Let's see how this goes.

I used it quite a bit right at the beginning, when it was transitioning from being a "Pre-HTML Processor" templating utility to a proper language.

The syntax was nice and easy to pick up. The rest was pretty bad, a lot of security was left to the developer following best practices.

It improved with time, but it had already left a bad impression on me.

I know it's still popular, as you can tell from the downvotes.

Companies Are Realizing They’re Spending a Fortune on AI Just So Their Employees Can Generate Error-Riddled Slop, and Suddenly Cutting Back Budgets.

January: We're going AI native, please use AI as much as possible.

March: Everyone needs to attend workshops on how to maximize AI productivity.

July: Some models are only available for special (properly justified) cases. Speak to your manager. Turns out that some people did everything (even commits) with top cost models.

August: Ok, we're setting some limits on token usage, due to some people spending 1000% over the average.

September: we are creating additional frameworks and limits to AI use.

It took a bit of time for the actual AI cost/benefit to reach the top management and put some hard numbers in contrast with the hype machine, but it's happening.
