How Nintendo locked down the Switch 2’s USB-C port and broke third-party docking

I bought a Switch last November and couldn't believe the bullshit Nintendo is pulling. $60 for almost 10 year old games, horrible network adapter on the switch, no voice chat except through a stupid app and it's not even available in most games. Add to that that the fact that I hate Nintendo's policies and attitudes towards modding and emulation and consumer protection and I'm never buying another Nintendo console. I'll go with the Steam Deck and I'll be selling my Switch in the next couple weeks. Nintendo is an anti-consumer aggressively capitalistic corporation in my opinion.

Do you agree?

Is there any way to manage symptoms without medication? Both of my brothers have ADHD and my therapist suspects that I do, too. However, I have a history of abusing adderall and being addicted to it. I don't want to ever take a prescription stimulant again and no doctor would prescribe me one anyway because of my history.

Greedy AAA companies can't comprehend the Valve mindset.

When is the bottom going to fall out, though? Gabe is going to die in the next couple decades most likely, and although I've heard his son has a similar mindset to him he could sell Valve or he could pass away. Then I think the gaming industry is going to go to complete shit, and it's possible we could all lose our steam libraries worth thousands of dollars.

71% of Americans say the US should spend more on "assistance to the poor". But if you use the word "welfare" that number drops to 30%

And they would be immoral and evil if they suggest letting disabled people die off. Yes, I know about Libertarians and their selfish, egotistical, unempathetic views towards people less well off than they are. Anyone who believes "every man, woman, and child for themselves" is how a society should function is a piece of shit, sorry. And obviously you can lump Conservatives in with them on this issue too.

TIL that the first victims of The Holocaust were murdered at the Dachau concentration camp in 1933, and the Bavarian Justice Ministry tried to prosecute the SS for the murders.

I was in school in the 90s (in the US) and we read Night by Elie Wiesel, The Diary of Anne Frank, I remember seeing pictures of the bodies and watching a movie that showed people killed in the gas chambers and mass graves too. And we were taught in depth about the Holocaust and WWII, too. It was a pretty massive subject in history classes. What country did you go to school in?
