dumb it way down
Like seriously, i don't understand beeing non-binary. Like seriously, i dont know whats going on. The wikipedia article was not helpfull at all, and every resource i find, feels very much designed for the in-group.
And it is strangely annoying to me, thst people in germany start using english neo pronouns like dey in german. Whats going on there as well.
Does anyone have a resource that explains all that?

Does anyone else get so tired and depressed from saying you're good when people ask how you are?
This is what I LOVE about German culture.
"How are you/Wie geht es dir" is a serious question. So you just ask that if you are genuinely ready for 2-3 minutes of information about the person's situation.
I went to an English boarding school for half a year and once a teacher walked by and asked me "how are you". Now I know she was just polite. But she looked so bewildered once I gave her an update on beeing so far from home for the first time and that the rooms are very very small etc. She was absolutely not ready for these 2-3 minutes, and I even think she was in a hurry.
Of course "I am suffering from serious depression and my life is in shambles" is also not a normal answer in Germany, but "puh, it's been rough the past few weeks, but I guess better time will come" totally is. Then it's the other person's choice to dig deeper or just accept that answer.

Can A Piece of Shit Be Shittier?
Elon has so many kids, it is too annoying for me to look up if any of them actually died or if he is talking about the trans kid or if he is hallucinating or something completely different.
Elon has reached the point where I am not even angry at him, I just get sad.
(Them again, I don't live in his sphere of influence, so maybe then I would be more angry)

Well, trust is literally the oposite of transparency. So i would call it quite bad, especially if you consider that right now i trust these guys with my credit card details, my taxID, all my passwords.

I feel this is not stressed enough.
The guy owning the local car dealership that has a nice yacht and a holiday appartment in Mallorca is not actually even remotly the same kind of problem like jeff bezos or elon musk.
Sure, noone needs a yacht, but the irder of magnitude is not even remotely comparable.

Well, better than applauding them, like the german government. The articulated opinion of governments does matter, even if today its not gonna stop a single bomb.

An unvaccinated child has died in the Texas measles outbreak
Reply in thread
No, because the child most likely didn't make the decision to stay unvaccinated for themselves.
This is just flat-out murder.

Well, honestly: I have this kind of computational power at my university, and we are in dire need of a locally hosted LLM for a project, so at least for me as a researcher, its really really cool to have that.
