"We stood behind Obama" no you didn't
I live on the opposite side of the world and even I remember when Obama wore a fucking tan suit once more than 10 years ago because Republicans threw such a big tantrum over it.

Make Stochastic Terrorism Great Again
Remember a few years back when we'd have a running gag of saying something violently over the top and adding "in Minecraft" to the end? Some dude on 4chan got arrested for doing that with death threats, and yet for years I've been hearing other people, guys with actual political power and platforms, muttering "politically" after way worse shit. It's a good thing whenever anyone acts on anything it's a false flag, it'd suck if they ever had to face any consequences.

Anon is at a work function

I got chewed out for not going to a company bowling party once because I was working that night and asked for overtime if I went. I was doing security patrols which in that job meant 12-hour overnight shifts that were mostly driving, and I refused to lose 3 hours of sleep so I could go out before work. The HR lady or whatever she was couldn't understand why I refused to go even though she so thoughtfully planned it outside of work hours. Oh, forgot to mention, she and the other admin people were on the clock of course, just not us night shifters.

Johnny Birch, the killjoy.
Just regarding the post title, John Birch died 14 years before the JBS was founded and had nothing to do with them. They considered him a martyr because he was killed by a Chinese Communist during an assignment so they used him as a symbol of anti-Communism. James Doolittle, a wartime pilot and possibly Birch's friend (maybe they just worked together, not sure exactly and I don't feel like looking into it further), said in his autobiography:
"[Birch] had no way of knowing that the John Birch Society, a highly vocal postwar anti-communist organization, would be named after him because its founders believed him to be the 'first casualty of World War III.' I feel sure he would not have approved."
As usual it's these far right assholes hiding behind something/someone more respectable to launder their bullshit.

I Don’t Know Why Women Keep Laughing at Me When I’m Out Driving my Tesla Cybertruck
I realized she was laughing derisively. She was like, “What kind of person would drive something like that?” Or, “That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Granted, she could have been having a weird reaction to a stroke or something, but I’m pretty sure I saw what I saw. Then today, I was at a four-way stop, and a guy in a Nissan Titan/Toyota Tundra or something smiled and then chuckled like: “What a tool.” Or, who would drive something like that?”
Mate, these thoughts are in your head. My partner has bouts of anxiety where she assumes people are always thinking the worst of her, so I'm hesitant to make fun of the dude because I've seen what it can do to someone, but he's clearly bought a dumbass car to get attention and now he's feeling insecure about it. It's sad.

‘Will Be 70 When the Kid is 10’: Karoline Leavitt Admits Trump’s Demands Are Straining Her Marriage After Returning to Work 3 Days After Giving Birth
But she’s honest about the limits, summing it up, “But that’s part of the job, and it’s what makes it fun and challenging and keeps every day new. And it’s, you know, it’s temporary. We’re one year down. We got three to go.”
Assuming there really are only 3 to go, she'll still be younger than I am now when she finishes, and she's clearly in a much better place financially. Who gives a fuck?
I don't have kids because I work 5 13-hour shifts a week and I don't think it'd be responsible to bring a child into that when I can't be there to help raise them (nevermind the health issues I'm risking from sleep deprivation already, I don't need a newborn on top of that). My partner also works full time, and even then we're barely making enough to get by. But hey, let's have a story about how one of the worst people in the world had to cancel her 3 holidays this year.
In the end, Leavitt’s reality reads like a cautionary tale for anyone thinking proximity to power comes cheap. Between the canceled trips, the social media taunts, the age-gap commentary, and the nonstop demands of defending Trump, she’s living the full cost of the job — as she put it, just “part of the job.”
So... she isn't even complaining? This writer is just sad that Leavitt's life must be tough because of all of these things she chose to do? Thank you for wasting everybody's time, Atlanta Black Star. I hope your engagement-bait is fulfilling.

That face doesn't look delicious, but I'm not a leopard. What do I know?
Man if I were Joe I'd be so pissed off at the most popular podcaster in the world for having one of the richest men in the world who bought one of the most widely-used social media sites in the world on his podcast the day before the election to help endorse Trump. If only half the planet had seen this coming and said something!

Some Track
I take absolutely no comfort in the fact that such an incompetent, stupid, harmful man has been made one of the most powerful people in the world. Twice.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, if his "inevitable self-destruction" only affected himself that'd be one thing, but he's done and is going to continue to do a lot of damage. We've got dumb cunt politicians over here in Australia who think he's amazing and are trying to set up their own version of DOGE while government jobs are being destroyed daily. We've still got antivax protests flying Trump campaign flags, and I used to work security in a building with a local right-wing politician's office who had a framed Trump flag on the wall. Trump, the people controlling him and the people enabling him are doing so much damage to everything that no, it's no comfort at all.

Reddit if full of bots: thread reposted exactly the same, comment by comment, 10 months later
That's been happening for ages. I'm sure if you check the profiles you'll find other posts with all the same bots commenting. A lot of lazier ones wait exactly a year to repost, and it's pretty obvious in subs for something like a live service game where they'll be reposting complaints that are way out of date. One in the Monster Hunter sub reposted a trailer for Iceborne which had been out for 3 years by that point.

Vivek fucks up recently so the racism against Indians surges, and now this person finally can't ignore it any more. "Oh wow they don't just hate Mexicans, Muslims, Haitians, illegal immigrants, and so on, they hate people like ME too?" And she's so deeply affected that she... doesn't say anything about it to her Trump voting family members for risk of upsetting them. You're a day late and a dollar short, lady. Or a decade late, a decade full of telling people who were warning you the whole time that they're wrong.
Do we just have to wait for the infighting to swallow up all of the token "good ones" one by one then try to pick up the pieces afterwards?
