The older generation ceded our power to the wealthy. They went gleefully along with tax policy designed to move money to the top, anti union legislation, increasing costs of education, stymieing environmental regulation, not pursuing and enforcing trust busting measures, offshoring industry, etc , etc. They weren't the driving force, you could claim they were tricked, but it was their own short sighted greed and often bigotry that allowed them to go along with it. And they by and large continue to support all that same shit.

American football has been referred to as just football (in America) longer than football (soccer) was called just football in Britain. It was called association football as a distinct game separate from rugby football and other football games. Football distinguishing it from games played on horseback. Soccer was British slang from association (similarly at the time rugby football has slang term rugger.) Eventually the association part fell out of use but other countries that had developed their own football games tended to still call it soccer. I don't really care either way, I'll call it football when talking to people who call it football and soccer with people who call out soccer, I just think the origin of the terms is pretty interesting.

Why is all the pressure to compromise or accept bad candidates focused on the left? Why aren't you encouraging the main stream Democrats and "independents" to agree to stop aiding Israel's genocide to prevent Trump's winning? One of the first things Trump did was release $1 billion in military aid to Egypt that had beenb frozen due to Sisi's human rights abuses. He was also one of Trump's first guests at the Whitehouse after he was elected.

It is always funny/interesting the contradictory opinions that sovcits hold, but I just want to point out that the rights granted by the Constitution apply to anyone in the US regardless of citizenship or legal status. This is a good thing. This guy has all the rights even if he did manage to become stateless, they just don't apply how he thinks they do.

My guess is they used his involvement to sell it to distributors. It says they have already made deals for international markets, likely getting more than they would have with a different actor.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they reschedule it it is no longer federal illegal. States that want to ban it would still have their laws but removing it from banned substance lists would also remove the federal road blocks to legal use; banking rules, insurance, etc. It should be decheduled entirely and then legislators, state and federal, could decide legality.

They are not banning Americans from coming, only requiring them to get visas. This will make it so you have to apply ahead of time and the government will decide if you can enter, just like when people want to travel from Africa to US.
