Trump Team Refuses to Explain Imported Beef Origin as Backlash Grows
Yeah, if I still lived in the US, I think I'd be ordering the chicken for the time being. Just say "Neigh" to Trump's mystery meat.

US set for largest mass visa revocation in history targeting up to 200,000 foreigners, officials say
Remember when your MAGA friends assured you they weren't against immigration per se, it was illegal immigration they had a problem with. Yeah, that was a lie. They were (and are) just racist.

How long do you have to live in a place for you to be considered from there?
Reply in thread
I'd be more inclined to say it's the place you spent your formative years, if that's not the same place. I was born in Virginia, but moved to Ohio before I turned 2 and grew up there. I always say I'm from Ohio. I have no memories of Virginia.

Trump aide Natalie Harp worked at the White House without security clearance for a year
Well that sounds like more of a national security threat than a private email server.

Why your Amazon order confirmation emails have become so unhelpful
That's so weird. I haven't gotten any of these vague confirmation emails. Oh, that's right. I remember why. Because I don't buy a thing from that fucking oligarch's website.

“Move fast and break things” always sounded like terrible words to live by to me. Maybe more people will agree now that we see some of the broken things are people.

This sounds more like a stalker than an aide.

Fair enough and I'm sorry if I sounded judgy. I I know it doesn't apply to everyone, but I think a major reason for Amazon's success is that they've made acquiring things too convenient. A lot of people (I know I did) fall into the trap of over-consumption. I've come to conclude that spending my money ought to come with a little friction.

I do this thing where if I need something, I go to a store and buy it. It has resulted in a lot less buying of useless stuff that I didn’t really need and ends up just taking up space. YMMV

There’s no way this is true. Seven sailors dead and the only outlet reporting it is an Iranian outlet? How would they obtain this information? I call propaganda.

Those moutains are so quaint
When I lived in Colorado I had to go do a field visit to a site in northern Georgia, and I was talking to my colleague to get directions to the site. He kept saying stuff like, "Are you sure you can drive here? There's a huge mountain in between here and Atlanta." I told him I drive in the mountains all the time and I was confident I would be just fine. "OK, if you're sure. Be careful, it's really a huge mountain." He really went on about how treacherous the drive would be. Well, I made it to the site. Never did see any mountain. 😝

Ex-Trump Lawyer Says 'We're Screwed' if Trump Pressures New AG Blanche to Subvert Elections | Common Dreams
Oh, I wouldn’t worry about Trump pressuring him to do that. I’d worry about him doing enthusiastically, without needing to be pressured.
