Players shouldn't ever be too comfortable

There are troll mutants with this. Tyranny of Dragons has one in chapter 7, along with details shared below...

FOUR-ARMED TROLL

Sometimes when a troll loses a limb, it regenerates two limbs to replace the one it lost. This can result in trolls with multiple arms. A four-armed troll uses the troll stat block, except that it is a challenge rating 6 monster (2,300 XP) and has the following action instead of the troll’s normal Multiattack action:

Multiattack. The troll attacks five times, once with its bite and four times with its claws. If two or more claws hit the same target, the troll rends the target, dealing an extra 2d6 slashing damage.

Legitimate question: if there is a change to the term limits on the office of POTUS, passed by GOP to enable another Trump run, wouldn't that also allow Obama to run again? If yes, what are the pros and cons of this? Just trying to game this out.

Charlottesville, Virginia (3-8-2025)

This is the community chalkboard that was built following the 2017 clash of Unite the Right rally protesters and counterprotesters that ended up with a vehicle being driven into a crowd, killing one and causing severe injuries to 35 others, as well as 14 other injuries unrelated to the vehicular attack. 2 state troopers also died in a crash of a helicopter related to the events.

I remember that the Wicked Witch of the East (the one killed by Dorthy's house) had enchanted the axe of a man who was a woodcutter named Nick Chopper. The axe would randomly dismember his own body when used. Some guy he knew would replace his body part when that happened, eventually replacing everything, which is how he became the tinman.

But nobody ever said "Hey buddy, how about maybe buying a new axe since this one keeps chopping off things?"

What counts as an attack for the purposes of the invisibility spell?

Reply in thread

You are correct that the actions you listed are not attacks, but the Invisibility spell says ...

The spell ends early immediately after the target makes an attack roll, deals damage, or casts a spell.

This whole sentence is a way to check your ability to avoid interactions with the world by being invisible while still interacting with it.

Some interactions bend this rule. Not many break it with a fair DM. The closest I have come was an Arcane Trickster character who can cast Mage Hand (which had Invisibility due to a class ability) then potion of Invisibility. I could use the Mage Hand for the duration of the spell ... but then I couldn't recast it without dropping Invisibility.

Trump Pressures Republicans to Pass a Law to Keep Him Out of Jail Forever

Not saying that they were right, because they were wrong, but this was actually a presented logical reason why voting was restricted to male landowners at one point. They were the only part of the population that received a formal education. Regardless of motivation this became a method of oppression.

To be clear, I agree that public education is a key to a strong democracy, as is removing restrictions on voting.

Age check!

30ish. Working for a company that wouldn't let me move to their QA department because they "needed me more where I was" even though the manager of QA wanted me. The QA department didn't have anyone that knew how my department worked so they had never done any QA checks on us. Would have been a pay bump and no after hours support rotation. I got another job and they asked what they could do to avoid my leaving, and I said if they had done it then I wouldn't be leaving.

Samsung’s 20-year-life EV battery runs 600 miles on 9-minute charge

Reply in thread

It's absolutely allowed.

It's not as good as previous versions but I am running stock android and I have wifi power saving and phone (background) power saving modes available. I just checked and the estimate of time until zero percent battery goes from 22 hours to 28 hours with the node that limits backup processes, and that is with 59% on the battery.

There was a power save mode on my old phone that made everything grey screen and stuff that was way better. I think I enabled it for a camping trip once and used like 20% battery in 3 days.
