What rule was created because of you or someone you know?

Beyond innumerable rules at home (no sneaking out of windows, no making potions out of toiletries, no growing mold in the bathroom, no snakes in the house, etc.) once as a kid I had $5 of birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, so at lunch I asked for as many $0.25 cinnamon rolls as I could get with a $5 bill. Although the cafeteria workers tried to talk me out of it, I spent the rest of the day parading around with a huge sack of cinnamon rolls which I didn't share with my classmates, as I was determined to bring my catch home to impress / share with my family. The same day, an announcement was made over the intercom to the entire school announcing a new two-per-person limit for cinnamon rolls. Details may be off as this was years ago, but that's what I remember!

Insomnia

Yea, sleep studies suck. You're in stuffy room tethered to a machine by a million wires everywhere from your knees up and covered in smelly glue and sticky pads. After a night of that, if you're lucky, you'll get to stay for the entire next day and try to force yourself to take naps every couple of hours.

This. Based on my (elementary) understanding of laser printers, you have to have a laser zap a transfer belt to charge it so that it will elecromagnetically attract the toner, then precisely lay down a fine layer of toner onto the belt, then lay the microplastics + iron filings from the belt onto the page, repeat this four times, then roll the page through a tiny oven to bake on the thin, shiny layer of plastic. It's very complicated, and have you seen the price of new fuser units or transfer belts?
