The catch is you have to save enough money to get through the months where lawns don't need mowed in most of the US.

Marjorie Taylor Greene complains about "socialist" Medicare
It seems like nothing they say matters anymore. Some Republicans want to get rid of Medicare. You would think this would lose them massive votes among the elderly, their biggest constituency. But it just doesn't seem to matter.

I'm not the same person, but I'll give it a go. It's confusing in part because liberal often means leftish leaning in the US but not elsewhere.
For example Democrat and liberal are pretty much interchangeable in US political discourse, but that's not what the word means. Liberalism is more of an economic strategy. In this sense Democrats and Republicans are both liberals. They are all conservative liberals. Does that sound like a contradiction? Only in modern US politics. One party is just more conservative socially and more economically liberal.
Left or Leftist is generally in conflict with liberal ideology, as a leftist believes in strong social safety nets like universal healthcare, universal basic income, etc. Depending on the type of leftist, this could mean things like a planned economy, workers owning the means of production, or even collectivist anarchy. Examples of leftists are Socialists and Communists.
This is why, to a leftist, it's so damn funny when a republican calls a democrat a radical leftist. No self respecting leftist would be a member of the democratic party.
Sorry for all the US centric shit on a thread about France but I think that's where the confusion usually comes from.

Stealing copper, getting under older cars and cutting out catalytic converters, yes. Copper is not a big money maker but it's better than collecting aluminum cans.
The problem with 90% of crime is poverty. They do hundreds of dollars of damage to make a few bucks. If we had universal basic income or better safety nets these crimes would nearly vanish overnight.

Looks like he's getting ready to do something really stupid to account for all the customers he weirded out and blame unions for it.

You'd be shocked how much anti union hate is alive and well in impoverished Republican areas. The propaganda succeeded.

It's "toe the line". This difference is pretty important. I thought it was "tow the line" more than half my life because it sounds like pulling on a rope to go in the right direction.
It's actually more sinister. Get your toes on the line we drew. Perfect conformity of thought or action.

They did the math
So I was 20 years old and driving drunk. Yes I was/am an idiot. I have never driven drunk in the 21 years since. I was so stupid I was trying to creep alleyways instead of just driving normally to get back to my apartment.
I pulled out of an alley and a man in a truck speeding very much over the limit hit the front right on the car I was driving, totalling both. He hit me so hard my car spun over 360 degrees, off the road and into a tree. We were both unhurt.
So I get out of the car and approach the guy who's cussing me out and getting his phone. I begged him not to call the police (which was a joke this was a bad crash right across the tracks from downtown, not like they weren't coming anyway). The guy says fuck you and calls the cops.
He was drunk too. We rode to jail handcuffed side by side in the same car. We got out on PR next day and we see each other. The guy is like hey motherfucker you cost me my job. I just said you called the cops on yourself!
Don't drive drunk kids. I was broke and this left me without a car for eight years as I couldn't get enough money together to pay the fine and take the classes, which was way way more than the price of a decent used car. I was also sentenced to additional time in county jail and it's the most scared I've ever been, and I'd had guns shoved in my face twice before this happened, and I'd been beaten by three cops in custody on another occasion. Jail was fucking terrifying. Just don't do it. There's always another option.

I don't know how many times this needs to be explained, but this is not money. It is not stacks of cash we could use to hand out to the homeless, or to rent them apartments.
This is war materiel. Artillery shells, vehicles, etc. It is assigned a dollar value. This is stuff we have sitting in warehouses, sometimes pretty old and in need of replacement anyway.
I'm no fan of the military industrial complex, but these donations could even be seen as a way to create American jobs in American factories, building modern replacements for what is being sent.

I can't imagine how frustrated he was, but it just shows you how bad depression can get. He had hundreds of millions of dollars and could do basically anything he wanted. Start his own program, buy a little island, anything. And he was so upset and depressed he killed himself.

I'll speak for myself but I'm not against the Israeli people other than the settlers. Israel keeps grabbing up Palestinian land and moving settlers in. It's already an apartheid state situation. What Hamas did today was terrible, and Israel did what it always does- blow up civilians. Hamas and the increasingly dictatorial government of Israel are both shitty, but Israel provoked this shit by backing desperate people into a corner.

They did it for me last time is the bane of all service jobs. I managed a pizza place for years that would sometimes get up to over 200 food products per hour. You could see about the first 20 of them at a time on the screens. There was no way to indicate modifications that weren't available in the POS. I personally trained every new employee on phones and till.
I would tell them you're going to talk to a lot of assholes. There will be the person that wants extra cheese on their cheesesticks. You have to tell that person no. You cannot sell anything that can't be entered into the computer.
Every day during the insane dinner rush I'd either get employees coming over to say hey extra cheese on the cheesesticks on order 215. We're on order 175. There is no way those cheesesticks are going to get extra cheese.
No time to correct the employee, no time to call the customer back. Or the other which was worse. The customer would escalate the call to me. "They did it for me last time!"
I'm stuck on the phone with this piece of shit and I can't be firefighting. The fires grow. Sometimes they get so bad we have to stop production to get back on track. This means we get so far behind that I'll have to stay an extra hour or two to right the ship. For no extra pay. The customers get pissed as the wait and delivery times increase. Escalations to management increase. The whole place is engulfed in flame. Next thing I know I've been there for 12 hours for no extra pay.
Wasted my fucking mid 20s to early 30s there. It permanently ruined my mental health. It turned me into an alcoholic.
I could rant endlessly and I have so many stories.

Agreed with the hope but many of his fans have a conspiracy theory mindset. Anything that goes against him will, in their minds, prove he's being targeted because he's the hero we need or some shit.
