TL:DR --> bolded text
Years ago i bought a DAN A4-SFX PC case. I was so in love with the idea of it. I always told myself that the next time i did a full-build i would build in the A4.
That build never came.
With COVID prices and the various other pricing crisises, i never did a full-build of my PC--it was just never really worth it. I did individual upgrades along the way instead and have ended up with a 5800X3D and a 6800XT.
Well, after AMD announced that AM5 will probably end around 2029 (and fucking AI), i decided a full-build still wasn't going to be in the works for years and years, and thus have decided to spend a bit of money to transfer my current components into the A4.
All along i was aware that the v3 case will be suboptimal due to the PCI 3 riser and USB A front panel port, but i was more interested in actually using my sweet PC case. But, to my surprise, after unpacking the case for the first time i realized it was the v4! I was genuinely blown away--i have been misremembering this for years.
Unfortunately, i also learned that my case has a sweet dent in one of the side panels. lmao What an epic prank on me--excitement of realizing it was the better version only to be taken down a peg by finding a large dent.
Tbh, i'm not super worried about it--and i may not even fix it--i'm just excited to use this thing that's been sitting on a shelf for years and years.
I'll share when i eventually get everything swapped over.
I have some decisinos to make first and i'm clearly not in a rush. lmao
Dent in question:
