Sometimes its for “security” reasons and sometimes its simply because the app uses Play Service APIs. They do have a history of mental health problems. Childhood trauma from abusive grandparents, severe chronic insomnia, and panic attacks at random times. What concerns me is that they're willing to talk about their trauma but not whatevers going on right now. And I have no idea what's happening, I only know that they're acting off, its getting in the way of thier normal life, and that they dont want to tell me about it.

I can't really give the best advice. A while ago I went through some things and decided to avoid all my friends. I remember, decpite my decision, I really would've loved if one of my close friends reached out. Idk about your friend though, everyone is different. If I were you I would definitely reach out. Make them understand that you really care about them.
