Simplest answer is "nothing"

The only recurring dream I have anymore is an ever growing collection of dogs that are in various stages of neglect, some of which are family pets that have since passed away.

I fucking hate it, there's never any food to feed them no matter how hard I look and there's almost always a fight or an escapee that I have to deal with only to be done with that and be missing (or gaining) even more dogs.

I'm always in a panic when I wake up.

I'd like to say that I have never neglected a dog, and only have one which I love very much, strangly, she is usually not present in the dog horde.

For some (like me) it's less "overcome" and more "manage to the best of my ability".

Sometimes I will forget something important. I forget interactions with people the next fucking day. I sit and scroll for hours on my phone and scream internally to get the fuck up and just not be able to.

Certain things help. But you can definitely be more then a leach.

I went to a doctor for a refill on ear infection medication. That's right a REFILL, for something that had been previously diagnosed by another doctor. I told him this, so many fucking times.

Nope. I had Covid.

"Sir, I just need a refill."

He just screamed at me, in broken English. "NO, YOU HAVE COVID. GO!"

I did not have Covid. I didn't even have a cough, a sneeze, or anything. My ear was in pain, and I couldn't hear hardly at all... and yah know... it was fucking bleeding.

I did not get the medication he prescribed me. I got ear drops from behind the counter and took allergy meds and then hopped for the best.
