SteamVR 2.17 arrives - ready to go for the Steam Frame

I mean, of course, but I think that would imply that they'd support streaming from Linux devices too

Does anyone else feel like fediverse (particulary Lemmy) is getting more and more quieter?
To be frank the overwhelming amount of trump news is starting to make me feel drained
I should post some art on the furry communities to cheer up the place

Not even always true. For me, Wayland is the only thing that runs decently on my Frankenstein monster of a setup, while X11 makes everything run insanely slow. I think everyone should try both at some point

What profound statement has stuck with you over the years?
Reply in thread
Oh my god, 100% Read a post about it on r/196 a while ago, went something like "It's important to have discussions about things like cannibalism because arguments like «it's just gross/bad/unnatural» have been used to condemn homosexuality and the like"

How do some communities get like 50 members minutes after its creation?
I'd say bots but I've been told bots aren't that widespread on Lemmy. Could be wrong though, I don't know

LibreOffice is a free, open-source office suite developed by TDF, based in Germany.
Personally I've had an issue with LibreOffice mainly in that it tends to be more unstable and clunky. It oftentimes goes unresponsive on me and has crashed a time or two when loading larger files, but that may be because I'm running it in Windows so I dunno

What do you think about the protocol behind Bluesky, ATproto, and how do you think it compares to ActivityPub?
Reply in thread
I don't really know the extent of their independence as there are at least 3 parts to how ATproto works and they can all be hosted independently (so for example, an "independent" instance might still rely on Bluesky for part if it's functionality), however it is true that there's quite a few ATproto services popping up!

Do you use a system-default or a custom wallpaper for your personal computer? If custom, what kind of wallpaper & why?
I use two different pieces of art I made myself for my mobile and desktop devices respectively!
I don't keep icons on my desktop, so contrast isn't something I worry about, and I'm a sucker for colors :3
