I too am ready for the Steam Frame.
My wallet is not ready...
I'm considering this or the Pimax Crystal Light. If the price is around the same, I'll go for the Frame. My wallet will be strained, but I consider it worth it to escape Meta and my aging Quest 2, which they seem to be abandoning. Simracing in VR is so good. I can't go back to flat-screen.
Is the Pimax wireless?
I don't think so from memory, but I only use VR seated for simracing, so being wireless isn't a concern for me.
I'm actually looking for a used quest 3 since it's apparently so easy to jailbreak them and never let them interact with meta. And it's very probably a lot cheaper than a new frame
Holy shit- usb streaming in steam vr with steam link??? That’s amazing! If it works on Linux using the steam client beta that would be wonderful news. I fully approve of this. Things are definitely looking up at valve.
"if it works on Linux" brotha the Steam Frame IS linux
Linux on arm!
The steam frame is also not streaming vr to a separate vr headset
I mean, of course, but I think that would imply that they'd support streaming from Linux devices too
Apparently it's Windows only atm, but Valve is working on it.
Completely true. lol
WHERE FRAME??!
