There's a Finnish joke from the Winter War:

A large Soviet force is advancing. Suddenly, from over a hill, a voice shouts: "One Finnish soldier can kill 10 Soviet soldiers!".

The Soviet general gets angry and sends 10 men over the hill. There is a lot of shooting, then silence, then the voice again, calling: "One Finnish soldier can kill 100 Soviet soldiers!".

Enraged by this, the general sends 100 soldiers over the hill. Even more shooting, then silence. Then, the voice calls out again: "One Finnish soldier can kill 1000 Soviet soldiers!".
