Some Retailers Are Refusing to Sell GTA 6 Due to the Lack of a Disc

Reply in thread

Its such a weird thing to watch from a PC gamer perspective. The game won't release on PC for another year or longer after consoles. I'm really not feeling like I'm missing out or anything, if anything it's like I'm standing back and watching a potential train wreck from afar.

Rockstar has been hyping this game up like it's the next coming of Christ and there's just no way it lives up to that much hype. People complaining about the lack of physical media, or the confusion surrounding paid DLC. I'll just sit back and watch what happens. If it releases flawlessly with zero issues, then I'll look forward to the PC release. If it crashes and burns, well they have a year to fix it and to convince me it's worth it.

Are You Kids On Dopamine?

Only advice that has ever worked for me is to set micro-goals for the start of tasks.

Like, stupidly easy goals. Got a paper to write? The goal is to open a new document and type 3 words. Need to go work out? Do 1 push up. Need to clean your room? Put one shirt in the laundry hamper, or take 1 dish to the sink.

That's it. Stupidly easy. Not feeling it after that? Cool, you already hit your goal. But momentum is a hell of a thing. The majority of the time, I'll just keep going, precisely because the micro-goals was so easy.

3 words done? Ok that took no time at all. Might as well finish the sentence, maybe even a whole paragraph.

1 push up? I'm already down on the floor, why not do another? Or 10?

I could grab just 1 shirt, or just 1 dish; but I could carry more at the same time. Might as well.

You don't need to trick your brain into doing the whole task, you just need to trick your brain into starting the task. Momentum will take care of the rest. And on the times that it doesn't? Well, again, that's fine. You met your goal already. You don't HAVE to keep going. That can be enough for now.

That's not how generative AI works. It doesn't need to be trained on CSAM. If you created a fictional futuristic sport where people flew around in cubes and shot geese at each other in a stadium made entirely of living flesh, an AI model will be able to produce images of that. It was never trained for those images, but it will be able to produce them.

I'm not a CSAM apologist, nor am I simping for any AI model. I'm just explaining how generative AI works and how it can generate images of things it isn't trained on. It's disturbing that you would jump to those conclusions.

Life is pain but...

The longer I live, the more I feel that life just isn't worth it. I have no thoughts of suicide or anything like that, but if I died and some cosmic being were to ask me "Do you want to go again?" I would say no.

Life has beauty, and love, and joy, and so many wonderful emotions, but it is also marred by an abundance of pain, suffering, fear, boredom, and misery. To me, the negatives outweigh the positives. We struggle so long and hard for scraps of fleeting joy before being sucked back into tediousness.

I am no longer comforted by the thought of brighter days ahead when I can still see the storm clouds brewing behind them.

Black Democrats push back on Wasserman Schultz’s bid in Florida’s 20th District

It's not just that they pushed Hillary as a candidate, it's that they pushed Trump. They spent a LOT of money getting news stations to hype up Trump in the early days of the primaries, thinking that he would divide the GOP and be an easy candidate to beat.

They had a heavy hand in making this monster. I will never forget that. I won't say literally all the blame can be laid at the feet of HRC and DWS, but if it weren't for them, I don't think Trump would have even been a candidate in the general election.

Oooh and it's a double edged sword because people assume that your cheery mask voice is your default, so when it slips because you're tired, they assume that must mean something is really wrong because you are normally all cheery.

Are there ZERO good browsers?

100% wrong. But you don't care about that. Brave does no mining. Even those who opt in to their crypto stuff (because it's all opt in) don't do mining, because that's not how their crypto works.

Why just make shit up? Like where did your idea of that come from? Directly from your ass?

I want a new retro Final Fantasy

Have you played Sea of Stars? Absolutely, drop dead GORGEOUS pixel game with phenomenal music. Its not the hardest game, but it is a true love letter to old school JRPGs. One of those games that sticks with you long after you've beaten it.

It's on Game Pass if you have it, otherwise you can grab it on Steam. It's worth every penny.

I mean, there is a somewhat hd version available on steam that came recently. Still has the polygons of the original, but looks WAY better; much more clean. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I've been enjoying it quite a bit.
