An ethics question

You can forgive her and feel compassion for her for being misled and confused, but not allow speech that violates your own ethics in your own home. Bonus - no more resentment on your end, which is healthier for you, personally, regardless of what she chooses to do with her own life.

Friendships based in alcohol usually do fade, whether that happens in your 20s or 40s depends on how long you and that group kept drinking. "Everyone" doesn't drink, you can find friendships based in lasting interests.

What's the dumbest/silliest reason you got in trouble for in school?

I got a detention for looking at a teacher "weird" in 9th grade. I was the only one in detention and he stared at ME weird the whole time, then tried to block the door on my way out. I slugged him in the stomach to get by and he never reported it, so that confirmed the creepy.

I got sent out to the hall whenever I had hiccups in 8th grade. They were too loud, apparently, and the teacher thought I was faking in order to disturb class.

Millennials are giving up on the thought of ever buying a house and experts estimate fewer will become homeowners

Am 43. Owned a falling-apart trailer for two years til it leaked enough carbon monoxide to almost kill me. Couldn't afford maintenance. I have one Aunt left to live with and when she passes I'm expecting to be homeless again. I'll never afford my own home. Yes, I've looked up "assistance" for disabled and therefore low income ppl in my area, and many other areas as well bc I'd move for a home again in a heartbeat, but that stuff simply isn't funded anymore. I feel like I've been moving from one family to another who will temporarily adopt me for the last 15 years.
