European TV suggestions?
Loewe und Metz produce TVs in Germany. Not sure how good their models are though.

I was surprised to find out that so few people know about it.

The Wrong Guy (1997). Just watched it for the first time a few days ago and it really is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's up there with the Naked Gun for me. Highly recommended.

There Are 100 Computers Hiding in Your Car Right Now (You’re Riding a Data Center on Wheels)
This is nothing new tbh, especially on the Mercedes S-Class. The 2005 W221 already had 80+ control modules depending on the options.

They must have realized that you are a foreigner and put you on the one punctual train they had to leave a good impression.

Facial disfigurement: 'Restaurant asked me to leave over condition'
He said they had told him that although it was a hate crime, it was "unlikely" officers could pursue it further.
That's messed up.

Elon's Death Machine (aka Tesla) Mows Down Deer at Full Speed , Keeps Going on "Autopilot"
The poster, who pays Tesla CEO Elon Musk for a subscription to the increasingly far-right social media site, claimed that the FSD software “works awesome” and that a deer in the road is an “edge case.” One might argue that edge cases are actually very important parts of any claimed autonomy suite, given how drivers check out when they feel the car is doing the work, but this owner remains “insanely grateful” to Tesla regardless.
How are these people always such pathetic suckers.

People who reject the pardon are ironically the only ones who would deserve them.

Captured Russian soldier says North Koreans opened fire on his unit
These guys have been thrown into the middle of a conflict of similar looking people wearing similar camo and using similar weapons while speaking almost indistinguishable languages. This is probably not the only time this will happen.

‘The gesture speaks for itself’: Germans respond to Musk’s apparent Nazi salute
My Grandma is from Germany and old enough to remember the real thing. I asked her what she thought and her response was that it was, without any doubt, a Nazi salute. I'll stick to this primary source over any neo-fashist calling the accusation "baseless".

Why are there so many german communities on Lemmy?
Not to take all the credit, but a factor might be that I, as the top mod of the second largest German Subreddit, promoted Lemmy heavily to the point where the admins banned me "for breaking reddit".

Goddammit Texas!
As a European, the whole registering to vote thing is honestly one of the wildest parts of the US elections to me. It's so unnecessary complicated and prone to errors/manipulation. I just have to show up with my ID, doesn't matter if it's for the EU parliament or the local city senate.
