always drives me insane that people think that they should have packed less. imagine running out of something in space that is cheap, light, necessary for lots of reasons and in a situation where things can go wrong, yes it was a week trip, but, sometimes that week trip can get extended because things can go wrong.

FYI [https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3589309/] Many of the drugs that interact with grapefruit are highly prescribed and are essential for the treatment of important or common medical conditions. Recently, however, a disturbing trend has been seen. Between 2008 and 2012, the number of medications with the potential to interact with grapefruit and cause serious adverse effects (i.e., torsade de pointes, rhabdomyolysis, myelotoxicity, respiratory depression, gastrointestinal bleeding, nephrotoxicity) has increased from 17 to 43, representing an average rate of increase exceeding 6 drugs per year. This increase is a result of the introduction of new chemical entities and formulations.

The Windows Subsystem for Linux is now open source.

can some one ELI5.... is this a way for me to run windows stuff using linux? OR is this for linux stuff to run in windows?

I really want an easier way to run windows stuff in linux, my hatred grows with every notification, update, attempt to advertise to me, and interference in my workspace. but trialing mint is great but the ultimate test is failing with a few programs not really playing nice with linux.

Poor labelling allows ‘massive amounts’ of plastic into Australia’s garden waste, companies warn

this is far to complicated a matter for governments to solve. we should form a working group to explore the issue and make some recommendations. in the mean time its best if people continue to mulch pooly labled plastic so as not to impact any suppliers profits. We all know the cause of this polution problem is the greens party. /s remember the names of the people who do not act in our interests.
