US says Canada will regret decision to allow Chinese EVs into their market
"Hey Canada, don't do that or I'll put a tax that my citizens need to pay to import stuff from you"
What a moron.

SILO TV Series discussion + Book series worth reading?
I'm in the middle of the first book. So far there are plenty of differences to keep me interested and the show only covered about half of the first book. I do like the way the show made everything feel more tense, bit the book goes about things a bit differently.

How did you mess with school computers?
A teaching seminar was held in one of the classrooms that I took a class in. Students came in the next morning to see a username and password on the whiteboard. It didn't take long for us to test it on school computers.
The account had admin level access and could go into any student's directory. This led to rampant cheating on homework and labs.
I used it on my physics labs in senior year. I, and a few others, were caught and had to make up a few of the labs in the early morning in order to be able to take our finals. Also had detention for weeks.
A year later, after I had graduated and was in college for CS, I applied for a job at the school as a system administrator. The guidance counselor was in the room when I was talking to the IT admin. When I left, she brought up how I had broken policy and accessed files via that breach. The IT admin found me in the hall and asked me about it. I explained that I had taken my punishment, made up the labs, and didn't feel that it would affect my work at the school, but would withdraw my application anyway.

Once you finish the standard game and DLC, check out the mods. There have been annual game jams that do add some stories.

What's that video game boss you've never been able to beat, or took you the longest to beat?
The final boss of final fantasy 13. I was doing fine up until it cast death on my main character. In that game, you have 3 characters out in your active party, but the only one that matters is the middle character. After about 30 minutes of fighting, the boss cast death on my main character and they died. My two other characters were alive, I had Phoenix Downs, but because of how the game is, they are not allowed to have a turn unless the main character is alive. Immediate game over.
I turned off the console and never went back. While I understood that it was a mechanic, it just felt cheap.

If you use obsidian, like I do, you can use ttrpg-convert to pull down the 5etools data and convert it to markdown for storage in your vault.

Quantum space buddies is good if you want to play coop. That's how I played the DLC
Suitlog allows access to the computer from your suit
Scout stream makes the scout a video stream instead of a snapshot
As for story DLC, I've played "the vision" and "The stranger". I liked the stranger much better, but it's nice to have any new content.

Is there a way to automate ad-free podcast downloads?
Many podcast that I listen to offer and free RSS feeds when backing them directly (patreon or w.e). You can pop that feed into your favorite podcast app or script something quick. I have a similar setup to what you want that downloads webcomics I enjoy by checking the RSS feeds for new posts.

Don't you worry. With every new console release, you can accommodate guarantee that Skyrim will be on it at some point. It's like Bethesda NEEDS to release it on every single platform.... Sometimes multiple times.

Glad to hear it's working for you now. Personally, I haven't had issues, but I always like to help.
I have noticed that after closing BNET it takes like 30 seconds for processes to fully close. If you need to restart it, keep that in mind.
