My prediction is that those who would normally seek the infamy that school shooters used to receive will see the amount of attention people have given this case and the healthcare CEO's murder and murdering public figures will become the new trend.

Me too, but in Diablo 2. Nothing sexual happened or anything. She lived in California and I lived much further north, but it's kind of funny/scary that this is a common a occurrence with divorced women and underage boys.

New Bill Would Make All Pornography a Federal Crime in the U.S.

This is about getting people breed more. Honestly, I see this motive in all of their policies. The real reason republican politicians hate people who fall into the LGBTQ spectrum is because they can't produce new children and even when they can they're probably much less likely to. They want to get rid of porn, contraceptives, women's rights, and alternative lifestyles and at the same time try to entice people to have kids. If you want to fight against their agenda then don't have kids.

Republicans be like

I got a computer science degree because I got into computers as a kid and I was good with them. When I apply for a job it feels like like I'm competing with half the planet. It took 2 years to get the current job I have at an MSP and I've been applying for new jobs for a year now. I can count the times I've been contacted by recruiters over the past year on one hand. There's plenty more in my boat. If we'd known we probably would have had a different major.

I did labor before landing a job with an MSP by the way. I'm in my early 30s with back, neck, and hand problems now and pain that radiates into my hips and legs. You don't get out of labor jobs unscathed.

Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed

Reply in thread

Lately, I've only been buying indie games. I can't justify dropping $70-$80 on one game and even when those games go on sale they're usually $40-$50.

If you read reviews and do a little research you'll find that there are actually a lot of really cool indie games and you can get multiple games for just a fraction of the cost of double or triple A games.

Why is the number of first-time US homebuyers at a generational low?

Reply in thread

Exactly! My partner and I together make over $100,000 a year and finally we are just barely comfortable. All of our bills get paid and even though the budget is tight, we still have a little money and decent credit. I could put a $1,000 guitar on credit and pay that off no problem, but there's no way we could get a house.

Maybe if our wages doubled then we could find something further out in the sticks. Hopefully by that time more companies allow full remote work because I already lose an hour or more a day traveling.

ICE Shoots Minneapolis Observer in the head

Reply in thread

The problem they don't seem to realize is that at some point people are going to start thinking that if ICE is around there's a good chance that they're going to kidnap or kill you, even if you're white. People are going to start shooting first. They aren't giving people much choice and there are so many guns in the US.

THAT'S DIFFERENT!

I've had 2 instances where the Shift+F10 method didn't work on a Windows 11 Home edition install. 1 was a brand new HP laptop I set up for a friend. It came with a bunch of bloatware so I created a bootable USB and reinstalled the OS. It didn't pull up a command prompt when I tried the command no matter what I did. The second was at work. I accidentally let it update during the setup and afterwards it accepted the bypass command, but still never gave me the option to log in without a Microsoft account. I have a feeling they're phasing that option out for Home.

At least Pro has the domain join option. Still it sucks that Bitlocker gets set up automatically and associates the key with the first Microsoft account you sign in with.

They do it because they're banking on elderly people to not know what they're paying and lazy/oblivious people not to care. A long time ago, I would help older people with various things. Sometimes I'd play music for them or just listen to their stories. One thing I realized is that so many "legitimate" businesses exist simply because they're scamming elderly people. I even worked for a PC repair shop for a few years. You can guess who 90 percent of our clientele was. We'd sell really shitty refurbished PCs to them for nearly a thousand dollars. They'd force me to try to make them trade in their PC regardless of the issue so we can part out their good parts and sell them some bare bones piece of shit. I felt so scummy while I worked there. It's really gross how much of our economy is based on scams.
