Anon discovers the secret to staying thin

Yeah, seems obvious but when your entire childhood is filled with shame because "there are starving kids in Africa so finish your plate", it's not so simple. Or when you realize that eating is the basically the only joy you have in life, it's not so simple. Or when you have to take medications for your mental health and the side effects are that you over eat, it's not so simple. Or when you have no time to exercise bc both you and your wife have to work to afford anything in this stupid economy, it's not so simple.

This person's rejection reason

This can't be real. There are so many red flags this is fake. 1) Everything is censored. 2) GIS (Google image search) lookup only shows reddit and linkedin. The linkedin post is just as vague "learned a colleague received this!" 3) It's too good to be true. it plays on current fears. 4) It's just so dumb.

Gen Z is prioritizing living over working because they've seen 'the legacy of broken promises' in corporate America, a future-of-work expert says

Not gen z, but God bless 'em. I came to the same conclusion after the first round of layoffs at my first job. They laid off the experts because they had higher salaries and kept the lower paid, less skilled workers. It was completely absurd. Then it happened again, and again. Why would I ever expect my work to treat me with any loyalty or concern when no employer has even shown me or mine any?

Does anyone else resent the links to Reddit?

Not unilaterally. Linking to reddit is fine, but bots that just repost links are not. If you, a person, find something on reddit that's worthwhile (a comic that's only posted on reddit, or a thread detailing a tech solution, or something else) and link it, then that's fine. You, a person, found value on another site and shared it. I don't care what a bot thinks. I care what you, my fellow lemming, thinks.

Church Attendance Has Declined in Most U.S. Religious Groups

I want to go every week. I miss it. I love the music, the tradition, the community, and being part of something bigger than myself.

I do not want to be associated with the kind of people who scream at "sinners" entering abortion clinics but don't actually do anything to solve the reason they go there. Nor with heriarchies that shuffle pedophiles around to avoid punishment instead of throwing the book at the. Nor with the mega churches who refuse to help flood or hurricane victims, but instead locked their doors. Nor with the cult of idolatry that venerates a fraudulent, adulterous, pathological lying narcissist.

Being associated with Christians made me stop wanting to go to church. I'm fucking pissed.

Reddit is making sitewide protests basically impossible

But the protests made it clear that letting moderators make their communities private at their discretion “could be used to harm Reddit at scale” and that work on this feature was “accelerated” because of the protests.

Because Reddit admins deserved that harm. We've handed them all this free data and resource and they decided it was theirs.
