You go big, or you go home

Everybody is chewing. The guy behind her dosn't seem to hold anything in his hand and is nibbeling at his fingers.

Her right hand looks unaturaly stiff, while she puts her left hand on top of the pizza on to the cheese.

Nobody in this video moves a finger. Hands are moved, but they all act like frozen in their relative position.

What's the best reason you've ever heard?

A friend of mine used to cancel appointments a lot. A common friend of ours got really pissed about having their appointments canceled repetedly, often very late or last minute. Their friendship broke over it, tough it was only the last staw.

Appointments i had with my friend got canceled too a lot. I spoke about it with her and it turned out that she was having mental health issues and just didn't find the curage to be open about it. So we talked it over and now the agreement is that i always treat plans we make as optional. A cancelation is expected and never a big deal, i'll always have a backup plan ready.

I guess what i'm saying is, don't think it nececarily has to be about a person not wanting to meet with you, sometimes they just can't. And that is fine.

I'm doing my part

As i do every time somebody posts this article:

The headline is misleading. It's not 57 "companies". The original source speaks of "Entities".

Number one on that List of 57? The former Soviet Union. Good luck holding them responsible. Next to several state controlled Actors like Gazprom (6th) or Saudi Armaco (3rd), some privat companies like ExxonMobile (5th), there are entities like Chinas Coal production from 1945 - 2004 (2nd) North Korea (57th) or Cinas Cement production (13th).

The list shows that oil companies cause a lot of emissions (but apparently not as much as the former soviet union). To absolutly nobodies suprise.

Next to holding them accountable for their emissions (and their lobbying, pro oil propaganda, etc) we need to find ways to reduce emissions in our lives. Those companies will only stop if their products is less and less needed.

Now that's some devotion!

You know, I tough it might be good to fact-check this screenshot. It might be missrepresenting something. So I did a little digging and it turns out that this is based on a document provided by the Republican Study Committee (about three quateres of house rebuplicans are members).

I read the Dokument document (you can find it here) and HOLY HELL THIS IS THE WORST THING I HAVE READ IN A LONG WHILE.

It's so full of lies, half-truths and so, so, so much finger pointing to the "woke socialist Biden Administration" (yes, that is a quote), so removed from reality... It was painfull to read. There is so much utter nonsense in that one document.

Anyhow. The headline is dead on. And it's far far from the worst thing that they are proposing.

I need to bang my head against a wall now untill i have erased the memory of reading this bullshit.

The right-wing claims about voter fraud have suddenly vanished

No, not true. They are saying that this time they knew to watch close, so the Democrats couldn't pull of the same fraud as 2020. They are indeed stating that it is "supisious" that 13 Million Democratic voices where nowhere to be seen this time around, taking that as proof they were right all along.

That's how this works. You take reality and then make it mean what you want it to mean. So that's their take in regards to voter fraud.

How many of you use Lemmy and ONLY use Lemmy vs Reddit?

I only use Lemmy since the reddit API Fuck up.

Sometimes, if I am looking for information, I visit reddit, but I treat it like any other random forum I look up something, take the info and fuck off again.

I use YouTube, if you wanna count that. I don't comment there and use Newpipe or PipePipe, so only consuming and no participation there too.

I haven't used any other social media, like Facebook or Instagram, so nothing hardcore for me in just continuing not to do so.
