I saw Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill at a free show around 2000. Everyone, EVERYONE was there for Cypress Hill. When LB played they were booed thoroughly. At one point, for some reason, Durst decided to crowd surf. He returned to the stage with no shoes and no hat, cursed at the crowd, and stormed offstage. After a few minutes of confusion “Hits From The Bong” started, Cypress Hill took the stage and started hitting an 8 foot bong, while performing. Order was restored.

There’s a guy who killed 23 people in a Walmart in El Passo in 2022. Got charged with hate crimes on account of…he’s openly racist and said that’s why he did it.

That guy just got a plea deal to avoid the death penalty.

Nobody should identify the criminal justice system in America as anything else but a mechanism for protecting the rich.

It was so funny when Alex Jones was like “yeah Kanye we know what you mean, the Nazis did some good things for the German people under Hitler but you don’t ‘love’ Hitler.”

Jon carries a lot of water for the idea that the Democratic Party leadership are inept.

They are not. They accomplish every task they set out to.

The problem is that they don’t want the same things the voters in the party want.

They don’t want to “win”. The only thing they want is to maintain their proximity to wealth and power, and so they have cast their lot with the oligarchy, the same as Republicans.

The Democratic Party ”runs cover” (“block tackle” for you Europeans) for the Republicans while the Republicans overtly dismantle democracy. There is always a parliamentarian or a “blue slip rule” to help the Dems steal defeat from the jaws of victory. How many times do they need to strain credulity and invent some new excuse or mechanism for their failure for it to form a composite image of collaboration?

The Democratic Party is a honeypot used to attract and neutralize progressive policies and politicians, and prevent the “Overton Window” of American politics from moving left.

At every crucial moment they have supported the privatization and financialization of the commons, the wars of aggression, the surveillance & police state, and they will continue to do so until Palantir storm troopers are dragging people from their Blackrock housing to Amazon work camps to fulfill their mandated techno feudal district conscription period.

If it weren’t for the Black Panthers there wouldn’t be meal programs in public schools. The BP “Free Breakfast for Children” program was so popular and so effective at raising awareness and popularity for the BP party that the government became paranoid that they were constructing an effective “fifth column”. All of the sudden states started passing laws creating food programs for public schools in order to undermine their message.

Nothing good happens in this country unless the rich are scared. The same thing applied to the New Deal.

ICE is a wasteful “make work” jobs program for racist losers and dumbasses who can’t get one or hold one down anywhere else. It has ZERO return on investment. They can’t even accomplish a small fraction of their stated task. In fact, the entire DHS, including TSA and ICE is provably redundant, incompetent, and corrupt. (The OTHER reason these agencies were created was to hand out huge government contracts to assholes like Michael Chertoff)…

We don’t need these fucking people, and these agencies should be disbanded. The personnel should be trained to do construction, and they should be centrally employed by the government to build federally funded hospitals in rural communities (instead of shutting most of them down due to Medicaid cuts), and repairing the roads and bridges that are collapsing all over the country, as we see now n multiple headlines a year.

Make ‘em build houses. Call it “Department of Housing Security”.
