Winning local elections is way more important for Republican-aligned agendas to continue forward, but if people won't turn out because Trump is off the ballot, it'll be a blue wave of lower offices flipping. They'll need to work fast to push the "Trump Bad, X Good" where X is whatever conservative sock puppet they prop up to take his place in hopes of saving their chances at maintaining a multi-state hegemony on state congressional seats.

Trump using the language of a tyrant is not an accident. When people say that democracy is on the line this election, we're not being hyperbolic, we're saying that because of statements like this. Please get out there and vote this November.

I've never spoken with a Tesla employee, current or former, who hasn't corroborated this information about working conditions. Doesn't matter if you are a line worker in the factory or an engineer in the design offices, you are expected to put work above all else, keep your nose down and your mouth shut.

If you stop to analyze what was written in this sensationalized post rather than acting on your emotions, the first question that should come into mind is "who stopped them?". There are no checkpoints between Oregon and California where cars are turned away from crossing state lines due to emissions. In fact, that would probably violate federal free travel laws which would supercede any stupid law like that.

Next, consider the source. Is this person trustworthy? Did they provide ample citations to reputable journalistic outlets that verified the factuality of the claims? If not, they may be trying to deceive you with falsehoods or have an ulterior motive for misrepresenting the facts. At best they are repeating claims that they've heard from others and anything they report on should be taken with a grain of salt.

This post doesn't hold up to the slightest amount of scrutiny, but people get fooled every day by crap like this. My advice is that if you hear something that sounds outrageous or too good to be true, stop and think carefully about it for a few minutes, or maybe just wait for another source to report it. Saves you a lot of stress and protects you from endlessly doomscrolling.

I try not to judge Tesla drivers too much since plenty of them bought in before Elon went full mask-off in support of fascism, but if you own a Cybertruck you were 100% aware of what you were supporting when you bought it and I will absolutely judge you for that poor financial decision. I'll never ever understand why they do not simply let the passengers deboard the aircraft, nor why consumers put up with this kind of shoddy treatment. The terminal is right there. To demand anything less is simply a failure in logistics. The customer should never have to sit on a plane for any longer than an hour without it taking off once boarding is complete and the doors are sealed.

I always told myself I'd be the guy to do this if I ever found myself in a similar situation.
