Spotify Music Library Scraped by Pirate Activist Group

Since day one, we have stood with the artist community against piracy, and we are actively working with our industry partners to protect creators and defend their rights.

Lmao. They protect and defend artist rights so hard they they've refused to pay a fair compensation, and have taken it further by promoting AI artists over actual artists. This statement is almost comical after it was reported that they've had copy cats to replace King Glizard and the Lizard Wizard when they pulled their albums from Spotify

Add that any products grown for trade are sitting unwanted in fields, or for aid rotting in warehouses because the government canceled the contracts for them. Food is often held in special warehouses where the oxygen is pumped out, but there aren't enough of those to hold all the excess that was expected to be sent elsewhere

It's a colossal mess, with an incredible amount of waste

Goals or LOL

Men are allowed to like cute things too, and it takes a lot of effort to make food cute. I'm sure he appreciates the love and work she puts into meals for him

Heck, I'm middle-aged and still enjoy making cute lunches for myself

Safety isn't a luxury

I'm on a solo camping trip across the country, and have had to leave two campgrounds because men kept inching closer to my camp and scoping me out in ways that made me feel very uncomfortable. It's different than when men see my car or tent and want to engage with me about it, that's a very direct and friendly approach and I'm always happy to have those conversations. This was very predatory feeling, and now I'm keeping defensive things in my pockets at all times :/

TIL Social Pain (rejection) and physical pain overlap parts of the same neural pain pathway, and acetaminophen (paracetamol) alleviate social pain. Proof of social pain hurts as much as physical pain

This is pretty funny given the recent political assertions that Tylenol causes autism, because rejection sensitive dysphoria is a symptom of autism/adhd

Edit: that N.B. is pretentious as fuck. Don't take an incredibly tiny study with very little scientific traction as fact. Presenting it as fact demonstrates how little the OP understands about research

what are the grievances with the "male loneliness epidemic"? [close this topic maybe?]

The sheer number of men who suddenly have no support in their life because their relationship has ended, that soon struggle with suicidal thoughts should really point to the first thing you said. Men and women are socialized differently as children and this is one of the most common results when we reach adulthood. It will take an enormous shift in society and ingrained values to fix that

That second point, yeah, women don't need to get married to survive now. My grandmother couldn't have her own bank account when she was a young adult, and banks would have laughed her out of town if she wanted a mortgage. My parents got married young because that was still kind of expected, especially in rural America. I haven't dated in years, because it's frustrating, and I have been able to, and lucky enough, to buy a home on my own finances. That's not high standards, it's just that I didn't need to get hitched to have financial stability
