What is this "work" you speak of?

Reply in thread

Absolutely, I often say that the only hobby I stick to is acquiring new hobbies. I got into 3d printing with a cheap Ender 3 that I proceeded to hack and fix until no original parts remained. I learned more about 3d printing than I ever would have buying a state of the art printer. I now have an expensive printer that I don't need to maintain as much, mostly to support my other hobbies, but if something goes wrong I know how to fix it, and I know how to get the best results.

‘Invasive and extreme’: doctors fight anti-trans measure requiring genital exams for student athletes

Reply in thread

The necessity of it could be argued, but the motivation of it was medical. A doctor performing a test that was mandated by the league does not make them a pedophile. It was a common practice that was well documented, not a secret in a back room. I can't say that it was necessary, I'm not a doctor. But pretending it was motivated by pedophilia is idiotic.

Fantastic

That is pretty obviously the tough outer layer of an onion, not plastic. They didn't take off enough layers of the onion. No one is going to wrap onions in plastic because that would actually make them spoil faster.
