Lemmy.world has grown by about 66.6% since reddit's API shutdown
Nice growth, looks to be slowing down a little - I wonder how much is related to the poor performance last few days

3 days until reddit's 3rd party app shutdown, Lemmy users drive 985% surge with total 5.7 million comments this month
This doesn't appear to be correct, it should be labelled total comments, by day, not per day. You can see the total number of comments on https://the-federation.info/platform/73.
The top two instances, lemmy.world and lemmy.ml have a total number of comments of 156331 and 188364.
Per day comments on lemmy.world averages between 6,000 - 10,000.

Swiping back instead of accidentally upvoting is much better here than the web app.

An option to hide your name from the top of the feed would be nice
mine shows my email address instead of my username, would prefer it the other way round - cant see an option to change this. All the other apps i've tested show username

Is lemmy growth coming to a halt?

I thought 3rd party access has already gone, with the exception of a few apps like narwhal.
Is old.reddit officially being killed ?

do you also spend a lot less time on Lemmy compared to Reddit?
I am starting to. Still browse Reddit occasionally for the communities that are not in here yet.
Reddit as a whole seems a lot less populated. Example, the r/android sub is nowhere near as active as it used to be.

Into which pocket do you place your phone?
Left pocket. Right pocket has my wallet since before I had a phone. I’m right handed but if using phone one handed, will use my left.

Memmy for iOS has hit the App Store

I had the same problem, as i signed in using my email address instead of my username. The app has no option to sign out either. You can edit your account, but only the password, not the username.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it, this time using my username instead of email, now fixed.

Treyarch wasn’t garbage, they had very little time to make it, also having to contend with three new consoles

There is hardly any difference these days - I would prefer to hold on to the existing phone. However if you are able to sell the 14 for a good price, this is probably the cheapest total cost of ownership.

My wife’s regular iPhone 12 also from November 2020, is at 84% after 800 cycles.
