Lowest priority: line break on discount em-dash
I use two dashes to represent an em-dash; it should be treated as an unbreakable unit.

For example, the community "avid" comes right after "anime" but before "[email protected]"
At first I thought it might be unable to display mods across instances, but then for some communities mods from other instances do display just fine.
Image 1: Voyager shows comm has no mods
Image 2: Same comm in web interface shows there is a mod
Image 3: Voyager shows a comm with cross-instance mods
I noticed the Comment count and Post count on my piefed.zip account page in Voyager both show 0 when they shouldn't. The same problem occurs with piefed.social but not lemmy.zip so it seems to be a problem between Voyager and Piefed.
This is on both iOS app 2.47.0 and 2.47.2, and web (vger.app) 2.47.2. I also have a device running iOS app version 2.46.0 which doesn't have the problem.
Updated the app yesterday (from github using obtainium) and today I have very slow load times on every post I tap.
When I search for a post the default search filter [the green circle in the attached image] is set to "top post all time". Then I usually click to "new".
But as a lazy user I want that the filter to be set as "new" as the default search filter.
Hi all! Usually I don't make a dedicated post, but v2.47.0 of Voyager has a lot of goodies, so I thought I'd let everyone know here. I'm especially looking for users to test Voyager's new rich text editor! Please provide your feedback in the comments ^^
Update: There have been reported Android issues that should be fixed in v2.47.1, iOS should be fine!
Off by default (Turn it on in General Settings -> Other). Markdown content will receive formatting live as you type! The only limitation (due to browser APIs) is undo on ios doesn't work.
It's experimental but should be fully supported! Let me know of any issues!
On lemmy v1 and Piefed Voyager now supports post tags! Currently you can't filter, but that will be coming.
This feature works best on lemmy v1, actively highlighting new comments. Only lemmy v0 it only shows you "X new comments" - but doesn't have the data to tell you what comments are new. On piefed this feature is not yet supported!
Thanks and I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!
I'm new to Voyager and I keep replying to comments with the Reply to POST button instead of using the comment hamburger. If it's an original reply to my post, it's the only comment on the screen.
Not sure what to suggest, but there has to be a better way.
I'd even consider it sensical to entirely get rid of that big reply button, since it's very unlikely you are in this particular place (clicked the comment in the inbox) to make a new original comment to the post.
I reply to a comment.
Later, I want to see other discussion around the comment--who else replied, what they said, etc.
As far as I can tell, there is no easy way to do this. If I See Parent Comment, or whatever, it keeps me locked into that chain of replies and I cannot see anybody elses replies unless they are beneath my comment.
My only options are: 1-View all comments and find the original comment there. 2-Go to the user's profile and find the comment, click on it, be brought back to thread at that comment (this is what I'd like to do with a single click).
This used to be a feature on a reddit (maybe it was called "go to comment"), but disappeared in the enshittifification.
Edit: Clarification:
What I want to see:
Comment A
= A Reply to Comment A
= = Reply to reply to comment A
= My Reply to Comment A
= = Reply to My Comment
= Yet Another Reply to Comment A
Right now, the best I can easily do is:
Comment A
= My Comment
= =Reply to My Comment
I’ve tried clicking subscribe on it so that way it would become a subscribed community, but I can’t unsubscribe from it. And there’s no way to remove that community from my list.
It’s been stuck in that list for weeks. When I click on.” Home” Which would show posts from subscriptions, post from that community show up. Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of that community out of my subscribed list?
Anyone else got this problem? Session expires and I have to log in again every few hours.
My cell phone is my daily driver and I'm a pretty extensive user of an external keyboard.
One thing that would make a big difference to my UX is being able to page down with the tap of the spacebar (if I'm not editing text).
Am I triggering a gesture by accident?
EDIT: Oh, I see... the upvote count right next to ¨Comments" also counts as an upvote button.
when I use the gesture navigation bar it does, but when I use 3 button navigation it's always this colour no matter the theme or whether I'm using dark / light mode.
Not sure if this is a feature or a bug:
When i open the app in firefox on the PC.
If you press and hold the left mouse button while the mouse is on the header bar the app will revert it to white mode.
and vice versa for white to dark
A few of the features are also available in Piefed. It might be helpful to implement them both at once :)
I've started using Voyager again after trying out other clients because I love the ui and ux, however, I notice a lot of Piefed features such as cross posts, emoji reactions, flairs, and feeds aren't supported. While it could take a while, I would like to see implementing some of these features explored. Absolutely no pressure to do this and I completely understand if you'd rather prioritise other features, since these can be done from Piefed ui which I use on desktop now.
In Mlem there is this cool option to have the community list divided by server.
I find it useful and it's easier to navigate for me.
The "ugly" part of this is that all the server with just one community end up in a single group called "others" (iirc) to not bloat the ui
Anyway, still good to use.
If I had to suggest a UI for it I'd say to keep it like that but add some line breaks with titles, no need for anything special
I know my phone isn't compatible anymore and features won't work, but the constant red exclamation mark at the bottom is bothersome even though the app is still working fine enough.
Edit: Webview version identifier being sent to apps still reports as an old version due to an android 9 bug or something so my webview is updated. I would just like the notification to go away.
Since a few days, I get 50 posts in the All feed, and no more
If I close the All feed and open again, I get a refreshed list with new posts added, but as many old posts disappearing.
Is this a voyager app issue, or is this a server issue?
