I know how sex works and so does the majority of the world. So why do celebs need intimacy coordinators? I mean can't the guy wear a cup and the female wear a skin colored thong?

Intimacy coordinators aren't explaining how sex works to the actors, but helping to make sure that they're comfortable with each other & what they're being asked to do. They're analogous to stunt coordinators in that way.

Part of this is helping actors to work through or find accommodations when they could be running up against situations that could trigger old traumas. So if one party has a history of assault, for example, the intimacy coordinator will work with them and their scene partner to make sure that what they're acting out doesn't mimic/mirror their experience.

Does that make sense?

What is your worst experience with appliances?

I had a second-hand bread machine that served me very well for several years, until one day when it started vibrating like crazy and threw itself off the counter mid-knead. The whole lid smashed into about seven pieces and the dough went all over the floor. We still refer to it as "the time the bread maker committed suicide."

Anyway, that's how I ended up making all our bread by hand for the next four years or so.

In neopets [aside: yes, neopets still exists, go recover your account and feed your dang pets; end of aside] there is a random event that can happen as you play where members of the Kiko Lake team are "fundraising" to go to the Altador Cup. The way they fundraise is by stealing an item from your inventory.

This is permanent and irreversible, and has even happened to items for which players have paid actual real-life dollars (about which support's response can be summed up as "lol sorry"). Of all of the negative REs on the site, Kiko Lake is by far the worst, and so #drainkikolake has become a bit of a player rallying-cry.

What are some of your worst purchasing regrets?

My spouse and I were broke grad students with a baby on the way. We needed a car. Someone in our tiny town was selling a 1992 Accord for $1000 (this was in the early 2010s). We bought it and put in another $1000 to get it to run.

The only problem? It was a stick shift. I didn't know how to drive standard; at the time, my spouse didn't drive at all. I tried to learn, but I was so nauseated from my pregnancy that I nearly puked every time the car lurched... which was often. I never did get the hang of it. Eventually we bought a newer automatic car and traded the Accord in for a whopping $250.

These days we could weather a $2000 mistake without too many problems, but back then... yeah, that one hurt.

'Buy Canadian' Reddit post becomes secret ingredient to help save Ontario condiment business

It's hard but even small efforts help. For me the hierarchy kinda goes like this:

  • Canadian company
  • Non-Canadian, non-US company
  • US company franchised/operating in Canada
  • US company operating in the US

I aim for number one, try to avoid number four, and the two inner ones are a little more loosey-goosey for me and will depend mostly on the individual product. There are some things we just don't produce here so... I just do what I can, where I can, and don't feel guilty if there's an American product I can't replace (ever/yet).

What do you do if you encounter a skunk?

Skunks are common city animals, so it's a little more surprising to me that you haven't encountered then before. But for the most part they're pretty chill little guys, and forage widely -- so seeing one in your yard doesn't mean they've taken up residence. They eat grubs mostly (which is great for lawns and gardens).

As others have said, as long as you're not getting up in their faces, you shouldn't have any problems.

So... the dishes were important enough for your partner to berate you about them multiple times, but not important enough for them to do the washing-up while you were out? Are they always your responsibility? Did you have a mutual conversation and understanding about chore division, or has your partner implicitly or explicitly assigned certain chores to you?

What measures of responsibility does your partner take for their own sleep? Sleep mask? Ear plugs? White noise? Weighted blanket? Other measures? Or is it all on you to accommodate them?

Would offering to sleep on the couch if you come home after they're asleep feel like a reasonable compromise for you?

Does having a curfew set for you by your partner seem like a normal thing to you? Are you surprised that people here think it's not normal?

Does your partner regularly use belittling or derogatory language towards you as you've detailed here? Does it feel to you that using such language is justified by your ADHD?

Does this situation seem like a one-off thing, or is it often a problem that you have not read your partner's mind?

I think you've got some important questions to ask yourself here.

In May my spouse and I are going away together for a few days without the kids for the first time in a decade.

The tulip and daffodil leaves are emerging in our gardens and soon we will have flowers.

Our church is starting up again this week & I love choir.

To become a Canadian citizen you'd have to start by emigrating here, then get your Permanent Resident status, and then apply for citizenship.

Here's some general information in immigrating to Canada: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada.html
